Over the years, my husband and son have purchased cellphones, TVs, computers, refrigerators, washers & dryers, etc, from Best Buy's Alakawa location and have always raved about the excellent customer service. However, I myself never visited the physical store until recently, when it was time to replace my ancient iPhone. As soon as I entered the store, I felt an overall welcoming, friendly vibe from the staff. A big shout out to employee Ty, who helped me with my phone purchase, transferred everything from my old phone to the new phone, and updated my carrier agreement to save me $$$$$ each month! I really appreciated the way he answered all of my questions knowledgeably and professionally, without any intimidating tech jargon and without any hard-sell pressure. Thank you, Ty!

Employees are friendly but at night almost impossible to have someone walk up to you and ask if you need help without trying to find someone and nobody says ill be right with you or call someone else to come help you at night.

There aren't many big-name tech stores out here in the Islands, at least at the time of this review, so you kinda need to go to a Best Buy to get your geek on. But the experience is always welcoming at the Honolulu location. The staff are always available to help, with like-minded and fellow geeks to help make our purchase decisions that much more informed. The place is clean and spacious, and it's just a fun place to surround yourself with technology.

Picked up a pair of Sony noise canceling headphones for my flight home. My old ones broke and had to replace them. Easy to find. Was able to find what I needed and checked out quickly!

Best Buy is your place for the widest selection of electronics. Yes, you can get it a little cheaper online, but you are paying for the instant purchase experience. That little extra cash you pay puts that item in your hand right now! No waiting for the mail. No waiting to see if someone steals the package. No having to go to the Post office to return an item that just isn't right because the pictures were deceiving. So just make the trip to Best Buy instead of the post office.

We needed a washer, only had one available associate who was already assisting a customer. There were 2 more ahead of us, and it was advised to make an appointment. Ha! We tried to make one while we were waiting, but you needto make an account first.

Store directs customers to block handicap loading zone and access ramp in order to load vehicles blocking access to store and blocking exit. This is illegal and a fire hazard. Managers refuse to make a change and manager Higa was horrible and refused to help us.

Aidan provided excellent customer service on my previous visit. Friendly, professional and kind, everything you would hope for in a service experience. He took the time to explain everything clearly and went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with the outcome.

Great store, but I noticed that now most representatives don't ask if you need help. You have to kinda hunt them down just to ask for any guidance. I wasn't sure at first if it was because they were short staff but I went one day and it wasn't very busy. Sure enough, no one came over and asked me for assistance, and I really needed some assistance that day, too. I would honestly say they used to be better about being very hospitable. Hopefully, when I go back again, I get that good service I was used to receiving from this location before.
