I HAVE FINALLY FOUND MY NEW DOG GROOMER!! I have been to 3 or 4 other places and hated them all. I have a tiny 4lb dog and most places want to charge over $100 for a haircut. I found beauty salon for doggies on Yelp and even though there was no website I decided to give it a try. The owner is so sweet! She opened on a day she usually is closed to accommodate us. She has the most affordable prices I've seen on the island and my dog smells amazing and looks as cute as can be! We will definitely be returning here often. Thank you so much for the great service!

Been bringing my pup here for years and I have nothing but great things to say, highly recommend to anyone. Quick service and they take cute pics of the doggies at end with a backdrop:) 10/10

They use electric grinder for nails and might have gone too short and touched the nerve or maybe the friction got too hot. My dog cried when it happened. I asked if they could be more careful and the groomer insisted that it was my dog’s fault and not her cutting too short, and told me if I don’t like it I can go somewhere else.On this response I am no longer coming back. There are plenty of highly rated groomers in town and this attitude is not acceptable.

This is my first time writing a review on yelp. But I felt the need to share my experience about my conversation with Nanako, the owner. I had asked a friend who they use for their dog grooming service. She highly recommended Beauty Salon for Doggies, since they've been going here for several years. I called and spoke to Nanako. I mentioned I was recommended by my friend, and I wanted to make an appointment. She asked me if I already have a groomer and I said yes. Then she asked what's wrong with my groomer? I honestly told her that I wanted to try another groomer in the event my groomer was unable. She said, she was too busy and not taking any more clients. Wow, I was stunned that anyone would be this unprofessional! Nanako, I know you've been in business for several years, but being arrogant is not good business! I work in the service industry and will share my experience with all my doggie clients. Regretfully disappointed.

Nanako Puckett is wonderful with my fur babies! She has been grooming my dogs since 2001. She was so gentle with my 18 year old mutt, shaved and groomed my border collie and now my catahoula. When I open my car door my Kala just goes straight into the shop. She loves Nanako!

I've brought my fur niece here twice for grooming while her parents were out of town. The ladies are Japanese, but speak English. They are so nice and always seem to accommodate for me. The pricing is really great and she comes out nice and clean. They often spend a few hours grooming her and you can tell that they are very meticulous about their fur clients. There's never a crooked cut or hair out of place. Note that they only groom small dogs (lap dogs). Their space is very small, but they are amazing. I would recommend it for anyone with a small dog! However, they are soooo busy that I don't think they are accepting new clients at this time.

Been coming here for years and I love love love Nanako and her team!! The dogs are always groomed so well. I love that they take pictures and whatever the holiday is coming up she designs the background that way. So you get holiday photos when you weren't even thinking about it. My dogs always come back all happy and excited!

I have taken my dog in numerous times for grooming and nail trimming. On this occasion, a couple of months ago, my dog's nails were to be trimmed short by an assistant. I had also asked for the hair between his nails to be removed. In past visits the shop had removed the hair without charging me. This time they cut one of his nails too short which was bleeding. I could not believe that they charged me an additional sum for the hair removal when I picked my dog up. I contested that charge. Nanako, the owner, then refunded me the whole amount. From that point on she would not answer my call when I wanted to make a future appointment for my dog. I would have been okay with her giving me a partial refund and happy to continue to do business with her saloon. She choose to eighty-six me from her business. I find that very rude and unprofessional ! If you get into a disagreement or question anything with her you will see her true colors come out.

The groomer was so nice and helpful even after my dog bit her ? only $10 for toenail clipping for my small dog! Will definitely go back!

Nanako is an amazing and fabulous professional groomer and person that we've known for many years. Her salon is clean and safe; and has a viewing window to allow clients to see their precious fur babies are very well taken care of during grooming. Nanako is also prompt, well organized and has a good 'connection' with dogs. As an added & appreciated bonus - Nanako sends us awesome photos of our beautifully groomed dogs! We've not been successful at taking nice photos- but somehow she's able to ! Over the years, she's done such a great job grooming all of our different dogs (6 rescued dogs-- 5 have already passed in old age). Now we have 1 elder 12 yrs old Pom remaining & 2 new Pom pups siblings. Thank you so much Nanako !

Review on Beauty Salon for Doggies at Kilohana Square: Choose another groomer. I had seen Nanako (owner) for several years, at both her sites, with my former Tibetan Spaniel, Coco Chanel and now my Tibetan Spaniel Bodhi Sattva for 4 yrs. I carried her business cards with me everywhere and must have referred 100 pet owners to her. However, in last 3 sessions, she cut his nails till they bled. Then the last time he saw her he was totally traumatized- not wanting to eat, walk, or play. He was running in circles trying to lick himself. It seems like the razor may have shaved off area near his bum. I called her & nicely asked if anything had happened. She suggested I go out and purchase a pet lotion. In my research I found "Well & Good" cortisone lotion, w/aloe. That helped. However, it took him 3 days to begin to get up, walk, & play ball. We had another conversation and I saw a different Nanako - very cold, & wondering what I expected her to do.Then when the time came for our next grooming, for the first time she did not call to remind me, so I got the picture loud & clear. Also, when I asked in this last grooming, if I could use my credit card instead of cash, she added 15% to that, besides my tip. No one could believe that. It's all pretty sad; I was a loyal customer through 2 different sites and 2 different dogs. She never notified us where her new salon was; I thought she had closed. And with covid, when she re-opened the first time, she never contacted her customers, so had to wait quite a while to see her. She needs to learn the Hawaii style (US, essentially) of "making things right", which can take many forms. She didn't offer any.
