Growing up this was the best bank on the island. Now a days this is not so. The employees there act like high school kids. Many of them talk about other employees and customers. This kind of toxic culture is unacceptable when dealing with peoples life savings. The employees dont care about customer needs. They only care about how good they look. This falls on a lack of training. I do not recommend any of their banking services, too many options out there. Some employees at this location will know who wrote this and I told you if you don't know the answer find someone who does. Next time before you talk stink about customers realize it's a small island.

I must say over the years this went from being my favorite bank to the worst bank ever. I opened up two business accounts, one for my coffee shops and the other for my organic skincare. When I started finally generating a good income, I was always getting calls from the investigating dept asking me what I do for a living and what kind of products do I sell. Hello?! Look on my online store. So many questions over and over and over. I had a personal bank account that I came home from a trip in SF to see that they closed it due to depositing too much cash into it. When I was in the middle of building a new location. But because I didn't receive their mail asking me to call their investigating dept, for some follow up, they decided to close my personal bank account down but keep my 2 business accounts open with them. Ridiculous. They totally suck as a bank. I immediately opened up at CPB and ZERO problems there! With my business accounts and with my personal bank accounts! No problems! Then I had a normal bank teller Dylan that used to always help me with a lot of my banking during Covid and I met him from another branch that closed. Now this person isn't even allowed to say hello to me. Thanks to a past branch manager that flagged me as someone they shouldn't talk to. So pilau! Oh and the worst part is she was promoted to the private banking upstairs so she closed my personal bank account down right when I was traveling for a month. She was getting a promotion and made the call to close my personal bank account down. This is one of the worst customer service banks ever! A new bank teller tried to open a new personal bank account for me, just to find out that I wasn't allowed in their system to have a personal bank account in Bank of Hawaii. So disgusting. I'm happy to say I will be closing down my business accounts soon since I have the best customer service from First Hawaiian Bank, American Savings & CPB! Ultimate customer service and I can load up my business and personal bank accounts at all other establishments! I wonder why Bank of Hawaii is losing so much money and clients lately??

This is the most upscale branch on Oahu, surpassing the flagship branch on Bishop Street. The concierge, customer service reps, tellers, and VP are all top notch, and very courteous. The multi-story building is isolated, the parking is adequate, and I believe the safe deposit boxes are the most secure on the island. For millionaires and billionaires, this is the best bank in East Oahu. Even if your net worth is under a million, the place will treat you like a king or queen.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you ever need to stop at BOH Kilauea location in Kahala area, I 110% recommend being serviced by Micah. I rushed in during my lunch break from work for a withdrawal with very little time left and Micah was able to get me in and out as fast as possible while still upholding amazingly thorough customer service despite the fact that I gave him a handful of dirty coins to count (typically in this case, I get a certain negative expression out of others but Micah happily helped to count all the coins). He also saved me from over drafting myself by helping me understand my checkings account and the amount taken out for my paper bank statements! Thank you Micah for well representing BOH and providing high quality customer service! You are appreciated!!!

I withdrew $300 from atm and received all in $20’s before bank hour. I needed $100 bills. Later, went back to change $20’s to $100’s. The teller asked my bank card and checked something for a while from computer. Is this normal procedure? I’ve used several different banks but this was first time ever happened.

The new remodel of this place is absolutely fantastic, and a customer service is always top-notch! They have a welcome desk as soon as you walk in, and most recently we were greeted by Avian Who is very pleasant and professional, and then further assisted by Riley who was great as well. We left FHB years ago, and this most recent visit completely reminded us why. "That's My Bank!"

Terrible bank tellers. They make it seem as if coming in is their problem and put in the minimum effort. One of the ladies that manages the place (I'm assuming) is extremely inconsiderate, she seems really double faced and isn't nice to any customers unless they're a big business person. There have been a few nice bank tellers but on average it's way worse here than other banks. You will almost always end up wasting your time and ruining your mood going here. Edit: Another problem with this bank is pretty much anything besides depositing and withdrawing isn't possible unless you become a business account. Any other bank I've been to has not been as bad as this and I wouldn't recommend going to Bank of Hawaii.

Huge new building very fancy looking. Six people in line and only one teller working. Should have spent some of that money on tellers.

Obviously, the butt of those amusing Central Pacific Bank commercials has GOT to be the Bank of Huhu. Inconvenience is their middle name. Unlike Banl of Hawai'i Kahala, maybe I won't need an appointment with Navy Federal to deposit two dozen U.S. Savings Bonds. Auwe! Good thing I couldn't deposit all my U.S. Savings Bonds to my Bank of Hawai'i checking account today because I'd really rather not let Bank of Hawai'i have large amounts of my money. That feeling was more than ratified today. But it's an FDIC bank, some of my bonds were bought at BOH and some were redeemed at BOH decades later, so it seemed the way to go. You know a bank is hurting when they push credit cards and other loans on customers. Not to mention leaving American Samoa high and dry and insider trading activity. ". . . Ho Peter S, CEO And President at Bank Of Hawaii (NYSE:BOH), made a large buy and sell of company shares on September 7, according to a new SEC filing." Benzinga Insights, September 10, 2021. Just saying. Background. Signed up for my BOH checking account as a U.S. Navy Ensign in early 1976 at the BOH branch outside the Naval Base Pearl Harbor front gate. That's over 45 years ago. But nowadays, every time I walk into a branch, I'm interrogated with stupid questions, probably designed to ferret out fraud, but which are an absolute insult to a long term customer. I don't notice other customers interrogated so closely. My written complaint to BOH President Ho resulted in no change. Here's a common question: "How often do you get these checks?" "Excuse me? That's my personal check, pre-printed with my name and the same address as is on my BOH account, and signed by me. I GET THESE CHECKS AS OFTEN AS I WRITE THEM!" A copy of my signature is probably on your computer as well as on my IDs. The tellers are probably trained that an older woman, who looks like a casually dressed tourist, and is DEPOSITING, NOT CASHING, checks, is a crook. And BOH management isn't? I know the account history of deposits and withdrawals shows up on the teller's computer because the child manager at the Kaimuki branch, who thought my indignity was amusing, told me he could see them. So Sonny, over the last 45 years, how many of my check deposits bounced? Zero is the correct answer. That was early September 2020. Today was the first day I set foot in a BOH branch since then. BIG mistake! More recently. Having lived in Pu'u Panini and banked at the Kahala branch 35 years ago, it seemed the Kahala branch was more accustomed to handling customers with kid gloves than BOH supermarket branches. Wonder why? Years ago, I redeemed several U.S. Savings Bonds at Kahala. There didn't seem to be a limit of two at that time. Fast forward to today. But today, I could only redeem two U.S. Savings Bonds. I would need an appointment to redeem more. Can you say inconsistent? Why is an appointment needed to redeem U.S. Treasury Bonds? So I can be hounded to invest in a BOH funds? Not unlike running the gauntlet of buying a car? Should have asked to speak with a manager, but with BOH's history of shoddy service, why bother? I didn't want cash back today. Just wanted to deposit all my savings bonds to my checking account to use the ATM or write checks on that account. But I was not allowed. Also, the young teller had to read every word on the reverse side of the savings bond, so she must be too new and unfamiliar with how to handle redemption of U.S. Treasury instruments. Or maybe she thought I printed up the bonds? IF I ever return, I'll wait for one of the matua fafine tellers. Recommend you do, too. Cute only goes so far. Maybe secretary is a better position for the young'uns. In the end, that's OK. Got all the cash from both bonds, so I could give my friend a nice wedding present, and not a penny ended up in my BOH account. Because, with their poor customer service, they don't deserve to handle my funds. Bottom line: Bank with a credit union or try

We have been customers of Bank of Hawaii (various locations) for over 30 years. Their customer service is invariably excellent. Our current branch is the brand new building at Kahala Mall. I requested a meeting with the Branch Manager to give some feedback and was able to meet with Vice President/ Branch Manager Keane Santos this afternoon. Discussion included various aspects of their processes and protocols. It was a productive and invigorating dialogue in which I expressed our thanks to their organization and staff for their professionalism and dedication to their customers, some observations and suggestions related to their new facility, and plans and options for the future to anticipate continuing transition into a fully opened State and Nation in our post-pandemic world. Again, I express a sincere Mahalo to Keane for his time and attention during our meeting. We would recommend Bank of Hawaii to any residents looking for a professional, honest, and reliable bank to safeguard their assets.

Finally the new Bank of Hawaii is open for business . It's on the same property as before but much bigger and better. I'm actually not a Bank of Hawaii customer but I use their ATM a lot because my credit union does not charge a service fee by using their ATM. I would always use their drive up ATM before until they closed. So I was waiting and wondering if they would build another drive up ATM. Yay they did it's located behind the bank and you can drive up to the ATM for services. Support local and be safe
