While being helpful with the smaller requests at the desk, the bank robs you on a bigger scale!!! I have filed for a fraudulent transactions to dispute it, been paid back 4 days later, and two weeks later those money were taken back from my account because they said: after the investigation my transactions were authorized ? week later after I received my new card, I have gotten another transaction which I didn’t make…I have more stories about their SUPER BAD service and business. Not enough space to type! I hope they go bankrupt

As POA for a relative who banked here, I am beyond frustrated with this bank. They have been charging him fees for the past 15 months because he supposedly didn't sign up for paperless statements. But we did....in person in front of the bank employee! Three months later, when I was back in Maui, I spoke to them in person to correct it. They even looked at our phones and confirmed everything was set up correctly. They refunded the fees and then turned around and recharged them the following month and started charging them on a second account!! I've called and emailed numerous times only to go over all the info and be told that the Kihei branch must handle it and all the Customer Service Center can do is forward a message. Then we never hear from anyone. I have been dealing with this for FIFTEEN MONTHS! I was even told that a POA isn't valid if I'm not there in person...not true! Called them out on Twitter (X) and they want me to start at square one. No thanks. I'm not going to go over all the details YET AGAIN only to be told that someone at Kihei needs to handle it and they'll forward a message. It is deplorable that you can't speak directly to the branch you need. This is a really crappy business tactic to avoid helping customers. We've moved my relative's money to a much more reputable institution (that actually pays interest instead of ripping customers off). But with everything I have to deal with, I still have to waste valuable time trying to resolve an issue with this bank that should have been fixed over a year ago. I will say that the tellers are very sweet but this is the worst bank I've ever dealt with. I really don't understand why, when you can bank virtually now, anybody would keep their money in a place like this that doesn't respect or value clients; charges fees; and doesn't pay interest. Put your money somewhere else where it can grow instead of being robbed. Still waiting to hear from a manager at Kihei...

No options for wire transferring money outside of being there in person. This means if you don't have a paper check, you might not have access to your money.This is the only bank I've worked with that has this policy and it's been a total pain. I've ordered checks to transfer my money to another bank, but even this task is taking them over a week.

I have an account with boh and they still placed a hold on my money order when I needed it the most. Saying "We can give you half" which means they profiled me as a person who commits check fraud by the way I looked and was dressed. Overall Awful experience. Never banking with them again.

This location must be a training ground. They are very slow & there's always new faces... if this is a main branch then they need to have better training on moving the line. Waited 15 min to get change for business. Thank god this is not my personal bank

Bank of Hawaii sponsored a promotion for UH Wahine Volleyball tonight. Based on the advertising for the game, BOH was giving out free canvas bags to the first 500 fans. As we entered the Stan Sheriff Center were told that you needed to have a BOH debit or credit card in order to receive the free bag. I was not carrying my BOH card with me. No requirements were noted for the promotion. Needless to say, I WILL CANCEL MY BOH ACCOUNTS AND NEVER BANK WITH BOH IN THE FUTURE. BOH, you would have probably signed up more customers tonight if it weren't for your stingy attitude and lack of goodwill.

Trying to open a new business account and serive is so bad I don't even want to do business with this bank. I really can't see how anyone could do business with this bank. I am not even a customer and already worst service you could get. This bank needs to stop dishing out poor quality and taking advantage of the monopoly these banks have on the island and start providing adequate service and quality service. What a shame.

I have been trying to talk to someone who can help with my banking situation since MARCH OF 2021. There is only one number to call for "customer service" and after holding for 20, 40 - sometimes 60 - mintues they say they'll have someone call me back. Never happens. The WORST customer service in the WORLD. After 20 years, my sister can't get access to her account. DON'T PUT YOUR MONEY HERE. YOU'LL NEVER GET IT OUT.

Good Lord there are so many fees a customer has to pay -- literally four full pages of fees listed. for all kinds of trivial items (initiation fees, ATM fees, withdrawal fees, etc --- FOUR full pages listing dozens and dozens of fees that a customer has to pay. No wonder their CEO is making so much money (over 7 million dollars a year). I even had to pay a $100 fee to close my account! Never again will I use BOH.

I just want to thank Ronnie so much for her help in a very rare situation. I left Hawaii two years ago during Covid but my original flight out to NYC was canceled when the city shut down. It took me two years to get my refund back since my account had been closed and the airline would only send the refund to my old card I almost gave up multiple times, thanks to Ronnie though I was finally able to get my money back today and into a new account!

This is really a review for the whole organization. They have outdated equipment and processes, by several decades. Friendly tellers but not your sharpest professionals. It's almost 2022 and they still can't do most transactions electronically, requiring deposits, for example, to be made in person, during COVID too! And don't forget they all close at 4pm! Get with the program team and modernize your capabilities! I will soon grow out of this bank and move to larger competitors who better meet MY banking needs, when *I* need them, not when Bank of Hawaii feel like getting around to answering their phones or opening to full business hours. Not sure how HI residents put up with this, such mediocrity! Perhaps all related to the poor public school system here??

Worse Bank Of Hawaii location branch ever. Waiting for about 25 mins just for a withdrawal from my account. Being the biggest branch location from BOH, on a Monday has only 2 tellers working and the serve from the teller was horrible. Doesn't even apologize for the wait, worse service I've ever received from BOH. If you have time in your life and don't have anything else to do in life but stand in line to get stressed out then, you've come to the right place because this branch location is a f****** joke.
