very bad and slow service! long lines. I got into a difficult situation while traveling, we ran out of money on the card. But I had cash. We could not buy a ticket home due to the fact that here you can not put money on the card of another bank. Even for a commission. I find this unacceptable! I spent half a day walking around the banks and asking! I do not recommend dealing with this bank! They not good.

#gratefulWhen I first arrived on the island I did my research and decided to go with American Saving. I've been so pleased with my experience. I have been treated with Aloha from all directions. I now have a safety deposit box a savings account and a checking account every time I go in the bank I am treated like family I have seen first-hand them treat everyone with so much respect. regardless of how much money they have in their account everyone gets treated with the same amount of respect. definitely my type of place today Dustin was able to connect with us we were able to chat just a little bit about a good certificate of deposit (CD). I just sold my home on the mainland I would definitely not want my friends and family going with another bank based on what I have witnessed with my own eyes.

I want to commend the home loan dept for going above and beyond to assist me. It is meant for the bank I didn’t know they share the phone #. I have a question about depositing a check left a message she called me back and bank already closed, she (I forgot to ask her name) find another branch to answer my questions. I would recommend them for their customer service. Mahalo!

How does a bank in downtown Honolulu have only 2 tellers working on a Friday!! Line out the door and around the corner. This causes disgruntled customers and employees!!

-100/5 No apology from- no explanation and not even a follow up email about this. This is absolutely ridiculous. If you are going to make next day appointments available you guys should be having the staff thoroughly checking to make sure anyone requesting an appointment for that day Confirmed or Denied before they waste their time waiting for your services.

Just to clarify things, I did not ask someone to get back to me at the initial email I sent because I was annoyed with the service of your teams. You had chances to rectify the situation when I called the customer service line and when the Kapiolani employees saw us at the door & did nothing. I'm sure you can replay the CCTV footage for proof. They saw me and the ASB Customers next to me that had to find out the bad news too. I didn't ask for a response because at that moment I was shocked, confused and frustrated. I didn't appreciate the inconvenience of being lied to, ignored so blatantly from employees of that Kapiolani branch, the lame solution from the customer service rep to try rush to a nearby branch that was a 20minute walk that was closing at 5PM (I was at Kapiolani since 04:30PM til 04:45PM) and she told me I could "TRY" to get into there or to go to the branch on the next day. The solutions I was looking for was just a simple apology from the branch employees and a resolution to be serviced that day or to get a promised appointment on the next date. I did end up going on my own without an appointment cuz I needed to cash a check but I went to a different branch on the next day that was closer & on my day off from work. Not sure how marketing is the department you're only concerned about- it's your Kapiolani branch employees that actually need the help, so they know how to prevent situations like mine from happening. By the way, if you're going to say someone will confirm-you could correct the verbiage to say someone Has to call for it to be an actual appointment & have the system send denial emails too please-it'll help catch the people that won't get serviced, even after the confirmation & reminder emails but didn't get a call date of the event. Thank you for your time.

Came in here to do a simple transaction and upon entering, the first thing I see is their hand sanitizer dispenser being out of service. Yet their sanitizer stand clearly says spread Aloha, not germs. The pandemic is still going on and you would think businesses would still provide hand sanitizers. Furthermore, their teller stations were spaced out 6 feet apart. But you would also think they would utilize their whole teller station and not have everyone crowded in one spot. They had half of their station empty while 3 tellers was stationed all near each other.
