If you're coming to do a lot od sight seeing, and looking for something budget friendly, this is the place to stay. Our room was super clean on a smaller side, but close to everything, especially our rental car. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and fantastic in every way. Definitely a bit pricey.Nearby activities: Very close to the Ala Moana mall, which was huge.Walkability: Lots nearby to walk to.Noteworthy details: There's a Starbucks in the lobby and lots of seating. Beautiful unique decorations throughout, like this massive, rustic-style solid wood table in the lobby.

I booked for 7 nights and left after 2. Really disappointed with the room booked vs the photos. no major issues but way more cramped and just felt like the whole aesthetic and offering lacked. I dont feel like i got value for money.I paid 10% more elsewhere nearby and got a room double the size, with a proper shower (not shower bath) at a place that was also newly refurbished and had a much better bed. that 10% extra got me 100% more value.i would not return to ala moana hotel.Rooms: poor aesthetic. shower baths no thanks. cramped.

Very convenient, close to the mall, restaurants, and the ocean. You can take a bus from the airport to the mall/hotel. The pool is nice with fun seating. The room was simple and clean. Very pleased with the stay!

The hotel is good, but the receptionist called Lyn was very rude and didn't want to give the ocean view room even though we paid for it. She gave us the city view, thankfully the manager was able to give us the ocean view room after talking to him.

Very convenient as it is directly connected to Ala Moana Shopping Center. It's a little far from the so-called Waikiki area, but if you use the trolley from Ala Moana or Uber, you won't have any problems. The room is also clean and very relaxing.Laundry facilities are difficult to use, and Japanese credit cards are often rejected, so it's a good idea to prepare at least 15 25 cent coins and laundry detergent brought from Japan.25 cent coins can be exchanged for 1 dollar bills in the lobby.Noteworthy details: laundry

My wife and I were on the Kona Tower. If you are looking for a better ocean view, select the Waikiki Tower. If you are into local shopping, this is a good location for you. Exiting the 2nd floor of the hotel leads to the Macy's parking lot. From Macy's, you have access to Bloomingdale's, Nieman Marcus, Gucci, Ross, Marshall's, a food court and many other stores and eateries. These stores are all part of the Ala Moana Center. The rooms are smaller than we expected, but didn't pose a problem because we didn't spend a lot of time there. The hotel staff was great. If you are considering a rental vehicle, you will be charged $39 per night by the hotel, for parking. Some hotels charge $60 per night, so factor that into your lodging cost. A safety aspect to consider within the hotel is the bathtub/shower. Ensure that you wear shower shoes with some grip, as the bathtub surface is slippery. There is nothing to provide traction. However, there is a hand rail installed.

We had a nice stay, housekeeping was great, front desk friendly and helpful. View of downtown nice. Starbucks was a plus, and the little breakfast/ lunch (Dada Cafe) by the pool was a hidden gem with delicious, big breakfast and 5 star coffee! And the staff at the Dada Cafe were really helpful with suggestions. I'd come back?Rooms: Alittle outdated yet clean, beds/ pillows comfortable. Showers had great pressure and stayed hot.

It's the closest to Ala Moana Shopping Center and very convenient. There is a passageway from the parking lot side, and I found many shops that were different from the ones posted on the front. The pool is small, but it's big!

Directly connected to Ala Moana Shopping Center was really convenient. You can feel safe even if you stay at the shopping center until late at night. If you have a JCB card, you can take the Pink Line trolley from Ala Moana Center to Waikiki for free. There is a seaside park near the hotel. The atmosphere is quiet, unlike the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. On the other hand, the service is not good. There aren't enough towels for each person, the shampoo provided is empty, there isn't enough coffee grounds, and when I asked for a wine opener, they only had one, so I was told to use it right away and return it. It looked like a guesthouse lolThe location is good and the price is reasonable, so I would like to use it again.Rooms: Stayed in a junior suite. The room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the water pressure in the shower was low and it was a fixed type.

I returned from Neighbor Island the day before leaving Oahu and stayed just one night. Since it's next to Ala Moana Center, I thought it would be convenient to buy souvenirs in a limited time, and I was right. I was able to go to Waikiki on the Pink Trolley...Waikiki Beach was full of tourists, but Ala Moana Beach was mostly locals and I was able to relax. The next morning, on the morning of my return, I had breakfast at Liliha Bakery, and I was able to quickly buy things I forgot to buy at Ala Moana Center before heading home, making this the perfect hotel for the night before my return!

I rested comfortably in the warm eyes of the friendly staff. It's a shame that the old furniture, bedding, and bathroom can't be maintained.

Horrible hotel! They have made some cosmetic improvements in their public areas, but the rooms are terrible! You know you’re in trouble as soon as you step off the elevator to go to your room, the hallway ceilings are low, it’s dark, and there’s a smell. Then, when you get to the room, it’s clear that it’s not been upgraded, the refrigerator sits out a good 8 inches from the cabinet it’s supposed to fit into. The carpet is dirty. The bathtub is supposed to be upgraded, it looks like it’s sitting on a platform, as a result, as a 5 foot tall woman, standing in the bathtub, I can touch the ceiling, this is clearly a problem since I have to step down about 2 1/2 feet to get out of it. A black slate floor was installed. However, the bathroom is not being properly cleaned as the baseboards are disgusting and the grout lines in the shower are also nasty. We moved out on day two of a six day trip. There was not a chance I was going to be able to stay there and enjoy my time in Hawaii. We did not find the location of value value, there were little to no views from the windows, even though we selected Oceanview rooms. While the shopping center is attached, we did not find the food selection available desirable.Rooms: Old!
