If I could it would be negative 5 stars.They seemed great in person but, played sales games with bait and switch. Sold me a lemon after telling me the one I initially was interested in had transmission problems so they gave me a" good deal on this one" so it wouldn't look like they were dishonest. Transmission was slipping the day I picked it up from the port. Called twice to request service records with nothing sent as asked. When the transmission froze, I called and was told that they don't keep service records but, since this one wasn't a "mechanic special listing" there was nothing wrong with it. Makana was a huge jerk, hung up on me once and was racist. When I said I'm filing a report he said his name and said to make sure I spelled it correctly and asked did I know how to spell the name aggressively. Yeah, it's not an uncommon word. Don't buy or rent from this place.

It's cheaper to ship a car to the island than it is to buy from these guys.
If they were at least friendly it might be worth it.
It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but unfortunately these guys deserve it.

I was genuinely trying to negotiate on the price of a car that has been on their lot for over a year. The carfax on their site says it was offered for sale by them on Feb 2, 2022 (today is Apr. 15, 2024). The gentleman on the phone said I was just trying to low-ball when multiple sites (NADA and KBB) say it's worth much less than they have it listed for. I made multiple offers only to be ignored and then finally I called in trying to see if we could meet somewhere and I offered well over the blue book values but still under their "internet price" ($19k) and I was laughed at and hung-up on. He kept saying that they are a business and he'll send me the purchase order for the full $25k that he knows the market will have someone purchase the car from him for. The funny thing is I found a car in California that has a little more miles and isn't as optioned but even with shipping is half the price of his car. I hope he sells the car to somebody at the price he's asking (only for his sake) but whoever that person is will be paying too much for the car.
Most importantly, a civil conversation is always the right thing to do.
Even if we can't make a deal in the end.
Please send this man some aloha spirit so he can catch the feeling and make his small business flourish!
Update: Just bought a 2015 Fiat 500e with 24,919 miles from CA for $7555 and paid $1800 is shipping. ($9355 total) I'll have to wait a couple weeks for it but it's a savings of over $15,000) Worth every penny.

This is the worst rental car agency I've ever been to. Panda is the manager. They tried to scam you by charging extra insurance. When you object to it, they make you try to provide a declarations page from your insurance company. Total scam I would never use this agency ever again. If I could leave less than one I would

Called to ask what time they close and the guy started giving me information I didn’t ask for so I stopped him because I thought there was some misunderstanding and he literally said “never mind sir” and hung up. Horrible customer service.

a bit of a journey from the airport, but good prices and service. the person we worked with to rent the car didn't push the insurance on us and gave us recommendations on where to park for free and a restaurant to go to

First of all the manager was very rude. When my husband and I was standing at the counter I heard someone cussing, that person turned out to be the manager. Secondly we returned the vehicle that was issued to us because the doors would not lock. While getting ready to leave in New issued vehicle, the manager got in to the car that we just returned and burned rubber right next to me and my husband. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Thirdly my husband returned the rental full tank, but they still went ahead and charged my husband's debit card of $22.93 and said that the rental was not returned with its full tank. My husband called them and asked to speak to the manager or someone higher. He again was very rude and told my husband " Bro you can't get any higher then me." My husband disputed the transaction with his bank. The cars were very out dated. And there were alot of cars with its safety inspection that were expired. I highly recommend that you not rent from this company.

Place is good to rent from but their customer service sucks. They are rude and have no courtesy on how to deal with customers. It is the worst rental place and experience. The employees needs MAJOR TRIANING on how to deal with people in general, especially, when they pick you up from the airport, VERY RUDE drivers. It's like they are doing us favor to drive us to the lot.I haven't gotten by deposit back yet and when i called on multiples occasions they'll be unprofessional & hang up on you. I thought people of HI would be nice (and they are) but not this place for sure.

First everyone who is complaining? It says economy rent a car!!! If you wanted moreservice or better lobby then you should have paid more!!! You are be hypocritical!!! I thought yes, the experience was okay,But I have paid a lot more Entetpruse, andWaited a lot longer!! So I paid $125 for 4 days!! For a Nissan Altima, Which is great!

100% a fraud company do not rent here just read the reviews!! 15 minutes from airport they'll give you a receipt with your final charges and then a few days after your trip charge you even more money and then when you call they'll be unprofessional & hang up on you and tell you they'll call you back and then finally after 30 calls they'll tell you it's cleaning charges or gas charges even though your car is clean and has a full tank. I recommend anyone who has had the same issues file a report with the state of Hawaii. cca.hawaii.gov/consumer-… Also report fraud reportfraud.ftc.gov/# they will continue to scam people and get away with it if not reported. My call to this fraud company was ended with "I hope you live a long life" then I was hung up on for a 4th time.Don't fall for the fake accounts giving this scam company 5 stars! Also notice that the scam owner only responds to fake 5 star reviews. Reported to economy corporate, state of Hawaii, Priceline so far. Still going!The man who answers the phone early in the morning before they open is clearly Calvin Cohen the "owner" head scammer he'll hang up on you multiple times before finally answering and pretending to be another person and give you a fake name! Only a matter of time before this place is shut down! Save yourself the headache don't rent a car here.

I had to return/ exchange a vehicle because there was a screw in the tire. The staff quickly exchanged vehicles and got me on my way. When I realized that I had left my parking pass in the car, Oz went to great lengths to determine who had detailed the car, and even watched the video to see where it had been placed when removed. It had been thrown away, and I was going to be charged $200 if it wasn't returned to the vacation rental office. He retrieved it. What great service! Truly grateful for the extra hard detective work Oz did. Mahalo!
