We're so happy we found this warehouse and met John. He was so helpful in what we were looking for....Hawaiian snacks/candies! They have a bunch of snacks/candies/drinks for vending. He is super nice and has so much Aloha. His prices are super reasonable. We will be buying from him when our supply is low. Mahalo John!

The selection at AC Lyau was nothing short of extraordinary. From iconic favorites to obscure gems, they had it all. I was transported back to my childhood as I rediscovered classics like bazooka bubblegum, and Wax bottles, and lifesavers. The store's commitment to sourcing authentic, nostalgic candies was evident, with each treat perfectly capturing the flavors and packaging that once delighted generations. Mahalo for being here! We can’t wait for you to bring back the Gummy Bear!

Caution when shopping here with a hangry cravings... It's like shopping at a secret club as there's no sign other than the obvious painted red gummy bear (thankful for the return of the original btw) and with a few parking stall right up front it's a great place to shop for goodies of all kinds here. No special entrance for all right through the warehouse with the owner working hard gathering items for orders I believe you see just shelves and shelves filled with snacks and candies of all kinds. Choices overload I kept reminding myself hmmm lol! Totally a warehouse setting as this is a business there aren't any prices of course so I didn't ask unless I was completely interested is a slight inconvenience as the guy kept running around looking all stressed out. I did decide on a individually wrapped Cheerios pack and some root veggies chips and you pay in a room right near the entrance. Great place to pick up some snacks for any occasions as it's super conveniently located right in Kaka'ako...it's no snackccident! Thank you!

Found this spot from one of my fellow Yelpers! I was excited to find it on one of her reviews and wanted to check it out, so that I did. When you get there, there are about 3-4 parkimg stalls in the front. You enter through the warehouse roll up gate and walk towards the back. It's a little warm inside but it's only due to it being in a warehouse. It is filled with a large array of different snacks (chips, candies, chocolate bars, gummies, li hung candies, arare, drinks, nutrigrain bars, etc.... The snacks come in bulk and are wholesale prices for non buisness purchasers. There are no prices on the items, but they gladly do price checks for you. If you are looking to buy in bulk or for goodie bags, or for gift baskets, this is your spot. The employees were friendly as well. After you choose your items, you go to the counter in the middle of the store where an employee scans your items makes an invoice for you. Then you walk into the front of the store with your products and the invoice and enter the office to the left where you pay for your items in only CASH!

Shopping at a warehouse in Honolulu, Hawaii... If you need unusual goodies for Halloween treats, you might want to come to A C Lyau Company. I was actually looking for "chunk ginger" for my cousin. This place doesn't have it, but... It does have snacks, cookies, packaged crack seed, macadamia nuts, mochi crunch, over-the-counter medicine, hand sanitizer, candies, and more! It was an amazing discovery! I saw all types of candy that I've never heard of! I had to get some to place in goodie bags for a Halloween party! There was a nice guy who scanned my items and told me that the invoice would print in the office. I followed him to the front and paid cash. When you visit, there are a few free parking stalls in the front. This is an industrial area, so, don't expect carpeting and air conditioning. Just walk to the back of the warehouse and check out the merchandise on the shelves! Enjoy!

This is a great place! If you ever wanted to wander around isles full of bulk candy with nice people nearby to help, This is the place for you. They are open early so you can stop by on your way to the office or wherever and treat everyone to candy! This is a long time family business that deserves your support. I'm really glad I went

I was reminded to write a review of this place when the news station did a nice story on them a few days ago. I haven't been here for awhile too and a couple of years ago, the company was brought to light when someone stole the big red 180 pounds bear from the store's front. I didn't know about this place until about 2-3 years ago, Someone posted some photos on Yelp. Perhaps it was Jo Y. I was surprised how close it was to work yet I didn't know. I've passed by here countless of times, not knowing what kind of business it was. No signs on the building of their candy warehouse except for the red big bear. I'm glad I read on the Yelp reviews that customers are welcome otherwise I would think it's for Wholesale businesses only! There were only a few stalls in front. I entered through the open area and there were some aisle of snacks and candies in a boxes or cases. This place welcome customers but it seemed they were working hard filling orders. The company supplies to some convenient stores and businesses all over. I just know one of them was 7-11 stores at that time. Everything was in bulk but I remembered the son saying their prices was probably better than outside unless the stores have the item on sale. Nothing was priced so you need to ask for pricing. The mother, Mrs Lyau who I saw stocking shelves, was working so hard at her age! I just admired her and she was such a sweet lady! She was so patient with me and would help me check the pricing on the computer. I felt bad asking her in between what she was doing. I brought so many items to look up, my coworker was kind of embarrassed. It's worth checking them out since some items you may not find in some stores. They have variety of things and even products that are not candies such as Bioastin. Cool to see nostalgic candies such as violet crumble! It bought back memories of the vegetarian man who made visits to my grandma's lot to sell her vegetables and she would buy us candies like charms candy in a roll! Cool how he opened up his truck side walls and it became a little store. Anyways, getting back to A.C. Lyau, they have some unique items and old fashion candy favorites. When you are ready to check out, the mother would entered my items to be purchased and created account/invoice with my name info and it was printed straight to a dot matrix printer in their front office. I believed it was a carbon invoice. We would pay at the office 's pay window. They only take cash payments. Sometimes you find his dad hanging out in the office. It's a nice family business with a few employees to help. So nice of the son for taking over or for helping his parents continue the business his Grandfather, Mr. Ah Chung Lyau established in 1920! It's been over hundred years ago. They have moved a couple of times. The previous location was on the other behind street from what I remembered the son was telling me. Possibly on Ilaniwai St. Hope their business will pick up again. So fortunate to still have these small businesses still serving customers and surviving through this pandemic. Thanks for Yelp photos of the building! It made it easier to find the place. They are on the same side as Anytime Fitness on Queens St just a few businesses down from Cooke St going towards Ward Ave. Please support them or check them out! Thanks for reading my review! =)

This family business still has a warm family feel. They helped us select a variety of treats to make nice goodie bags for our students. We loved being checked out by the gentleman who started this business originally-- charming!

This place is bomb if you buy sweets wholesale. Prices are very fair too, and VERY big selection of candies, chocolates, crackseed, etc. The old man in the front is so nice. I believe they are family owned. The only con is they dont put price tags on anything, so if you wanna know whats the prices are, the warehouse guys have to look it up in their computer. I didnt end up buying a lot of stuff because i felt too guilty to ask them to keep looking up the prices. Would probly buy a lot more if they started putting a price tag on their inventory

I've had this place bookmarked for years and finally made it there today. The giant, red gummy bear makes them easy to find. You enter through the rollup warehouse door. There are shelves full of goodies that don't seem to take up a lot of space in the warehouse, but a lot of choices. There were some empty spaces on the shelves, but I think it's because people were buying stuff up for the holidays. The employees were REALLY NICE. There are no prices posted, so you have to ask them to scan in for the price. I felt bad because the four employees I saw were all busy prepping orders, but they were so accommodating. A couple of them just said to let me know when I'm ready to pay or if I need to know any prices. I came to make goodie bags and had a few different items. They let me leave all my stuff on a counter they weren't using while I finished shopping. I noticed a few items were a few dollars more than say Costco or Sam's, but it didn't bother me. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES! When I was done shopping, one of the employees scanned my items and then I paid in a little office at the front of the warehouse. CASH ONLY. I forgot, so good thing I actually had cash on me. I brought a big, reusable shopping bag for my stuff, but they packed my stuff in two small boxes and one of them helped me to my car! I am definitely coming back here!
