Awesome experience, Hawaiian guy is totatally cool, upgraded us to a sick abarth for free! Just don’t forget to refuel car with premium fuel and take the check, and you’ll be golden. Perfect service, just need to read instructions. Also cars are one of the cheapest one’s that we’ve looked into. Love it!

Staff is really helpful and friendly. Would recommend 100% booking with them. I started with a smart car but realized I needed a bigger car & they let me switch the same day to a versa note by paying the difference for the upgrade. Next day I wanted a different car & they let me switch again without being angry or irritated at me. They're the best! Will only be booking through them from now on when visiting.

Excellent Customer Service and friendliness, clean, affordable when you need to get around. 808 is dependable and I recommend this service highly to everyone in and coming into Hawaii! We rented a car on a Monday and the vehicle drove funny right off the bat. But about 5 miles down the road the car stopped driving safely on the freeway in a jerky and unpredictable manner, so we turned around. This caused us to miss an appointment.We returned the vehicle and the employee responded with a sarcastic “oh no” and said “that’s just how the car drives. No refunds.”We chose to use Turo the rest of our trip.I would suggest using Turo personally.My experience with them was good.

This place was easy to rent from, inexpensive and easy to return. I can't imagine renting a car in Hawaii for anything easier or less expensive. I was 1000% happy

The 2nd car we rented today,died on us TWICE. First out at the Dole Plantation and then the 2nd time when we were returning it at the rental place. This is not what I was expecting. I had to get my friend to help push the car into position. We could not even call their customer service, it went to voice-mail. No one has called us back. I want a full refund. Very traumatic experience for me, don't need to go and get people to help me PUSH the car out of the way. The first SmartCar we rented yesterday was fine.

Smart car rentals has numerous ways to charge you an additional $50 for sand in the car, parked wrong and towing, and having the manager come in at midnight to have to move the car.. I am not happy with the vague contract that addresses these issues. Be aware and ask questions on where to park, cleaning etc.

Booked a convertible smart car online, unfortunately they didn’t have one when we got there… What they could of done is just given us a regular smart car, but instead the went to their second location & upgraded us to a convertible mini cooper S They said “we know you wanted a convertible, so we want to make sure we get you what you want, we like to make sure our customers are satisfied.” This made our trip to the north shore, the car was clean, well taken care of & fun to drive! We would definitely rent with them again. Honestly, I do want to actually drive one of their smart cars too, it seems like a fun and convenient way to get around the island.

Called this place and they gave me a price for 6 days. When showing up we simply said on the phone they told us a price for 6 days. The manager, Niko, said “no you said 3 days I didn’t say that price” I said oh no we definitely said 6 days, but whatever we’ll go with the new price you’re telling us. To this he responded no we’re refusing your service you’re not going to argue with me. We stood there mouths dropped because this reaction was so random and aggressive, considering he was the one who argued. This even shocked the line of people behind me. Niko should not be the manager because he clearly gets very stressed and reacts unprofessionally to a busy morning.SHOCKING AND TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Great experience with renting a car, but they should not be recommending the lot within the Monarch hotel. If you look up Yelp reviews for Park-A-Lot (the 444 Niu St lot), you will know what I mean. I was treated absolutely horribly by the parking attendants and after questioning what I owed, was ultimately refused service here (and struggled to look for close parking as a 25-year old female looking to not walk as far in the dark). Many, many other people have had similar experiences to me unfortunately so just a warning about the parking situation if you decide to rent from this company.
