Great place and people for Safety Inspection. The workers are friendly and professional. They do get busy sometimes so just be patient. The people who work here are genuinely nice. Keep up the great work and positive vibe. Thank you.

I have been going to this 76 for years, for everything. Very pleased. Fast, fair priced, honest. Good people.
So I was so disappointed when I dropped off my car for several hours for safety inspection, brake check, and battery check -- But they didn't check the battery! Maybe they forgot?
So, with a compromised battery, I had to go back the next day, and wait around for what had should have been done the day before! I did indeed need a new battery
Not even an apology, for all the wasted time.
These guys can do better. I will go back, but I will be more proactive.

First come, first served basis for a safety inspection. Five minute inspection. Great place on the Eastside for a safety check. Much to do in the connected 'Āina Haina Shopping Center if you do need to wait for your turn. Fast and friendly service. Recommended

The staff here are great! Friendly and fast service. I've been able to get same-day oil changes. They usually quote 1 hour for turn around, but most of the time it's done in 20-30 minutes. Highly recommend visiting them, especially if you live in the neighborhood.

This review is (long) overdue. I needed to get my safety check done last month -- I had 2 lights out (main headlamp + back license plate light). So, I thought I'd check YouTube for videos to change them before getting my check done. The videos were much more complicated than my former car (I replaced those easily), and I'm not confident enough with my (mechanic) skills to do much more than 2-3 steps. So, I bought the 2 lamps that I needed (NAPA) and I called Aina Haina 76 to see if they could change the lights & do my safety check. I had a great experience with them last year with my safety check (friendly, fast & easy) -- and they said they can do both. When I brought my car in, I was greeted by a friendly young man and I explained that I already had the lamps and he said it would cost about $135 + 26 safety check for the total job since it would involve removing part of the front panel (as the videos I watched on YouTube). There were a couple of cars ahead of mine, so he asked if I could leave my car with them for about an hour. I was with a friend & we were going to have lunch at Jack's anyway -- so, it was no problem. About 30 minutes later while we were eating, I got a call that the work was done, the job was easier than expected, and the total was $53 including the safety check! This review isn't just about how much I paid/saved -- it is about the consistent feeling of being treated with respect as a customer and a person. Safety checks & changing lamps are no big deal and I appreciated not being treated as an inconvenience to 'real' jobs. I did overhear interactions with other customers, and the level of service was consistent with my experience. I highly recommend getting your safety checks here -- as well as other car maintenance services! *I apologize that I didn't get any names -- but the 3 people that I had any interactions with, were friendly & polite.

I took my car in for a safety check and while waiting my car didn't start. It was raining and although they were busy they tried to check out my car to get it running again. I had made arrangements for a tow truck but when business slowed down, the senior guy (not old mind you) there checked my car again he found it was actually just loose battery cables. He tightened them up and I was able to get my safety check and be on my way. Aina Haina 76 is a real a customer service oriented business. You rarely find businesses like this anymore. Big Mahalo to the 76 gang!

Visited Aina Haina 76 the other day for a car safety check with them for the first time. I wanted a place that ACTUALLY checks the vehicle for safety instead of looking only from the outside of the car without actually testing anything (last 3 years I had been going to another guy in Kalama Valley for safety checks because it was a convenient short drive from home and quick service. But I prefer quality inspections). Based on reading great prior comments I decided to give them a shot! No appointments, walk-ins only, Mon-Fri, 8-4. I arrived and was directed by their employee, Race, to pull in by the pumps closest to the cashier window for the safety check and was asked to stay in my driver's to assist him. Interesting! I really appreciated the thorough check as he asked me to test the following features while he took note: honk horn, wind shield wipers, flash high/low beams, turn signals, roll windows up/down, gently reverse the car with turn signals on, and mileage that took less than 10 minutes since I arrived! Very decent price and excellent customer service!! Definitely returning next year.

Needed a safety check and showed up to wait. Was done in 12 minutes; initially asked to park aside and wait a few minutes but was waved over to get ready as I would be next in line. The car ahead was done and I rolled in as the next to be checked. Great service, friendly staff.
