Men’s locker room is filthy! I got the mop and clean it myself. So the one section is somewhat better where I use the locker space

Great gym for the location. They need to put more pride into their bathrooms instead of putting a pride flag in your face as you walk in. Someone pooped on the floor in the men's bathroom, and all they did was put a sign above the poop until it was cleaned up later. When the employee cleaned it up, he didn't even follow the trail in the stall. They need to deep clean the locker rooms and bathrooms more frequent than they are now. The hot sauna is black under the wood. Please wear shower shoes when in there. Been coming here for a while now, it's always been gringy.

Great little (tiny) gym. Too bad it's the only one on the island that's not open 24hours. It caters to the downtown crowd, who aren't walking around, going to the gym in the middle of the night. If you go when it's packed you might have trouble getting the machine you want as for most muscle groups there's only one machine per. And for legs... You're better off just going to kapiolani for leg day unless you're all about the free weights. Alas, this gym is a block from my house, so I put up with it.

I called ahead to find out where they validate parking. I spoke with David who said they validate at Executive parking 5-7 and 4:30pm. Im guessing I heard 7-4:30pm and I mistakenly parked there and had to move. I called at 12pm. Im wondering why I wasnt given any parking options for that time? I got to the lobby and someone else was at the front desk and explained I could park at Kalihi at 75cents per 30 mins which is better than executives $4 for 30 min rate. I called David back to talk to him about this and he said he told me the correct time and I asked why he didnt suggest any other parking options and he hung up on me. The parking situation is already inconvenient and then there is bad customer service on top of it. Im still gonna go here sometimes maybe but I'll not deal with any of the parking nonsense again. Only if im conveniently in the area already.

I was there today 12/05 at 9 am and the reception service was the worst possible. I'm going to look for another gym.

I like this gym. It's cool, clean, and the staff is very friendly. Gym members are polite, thoughtful, and courteous unlike the rude, inconsiderate, and loud Filipinos at the pearl city gym. So far, I haven't heard of any theft in this gym unlike the pearl city gym whereby theft is an occurring problem. It would be nice if management would allow the use of the finger scanner to check into the gym.

I paid the money yesterday.
But it was closed today.
I did not receive any information when I paid.
I'm curious about how you get things done.
I wonder when it will be open again.
They tell me to check it on Instagram.
There are many 24Fitness Instagrams.
There is no notice on 24 Fitness Honolulu Instagram.
What are you thinking?

As somebody who has gone to many of the mainstream gyms in the area, and now as a current member of 24 Hour Fitness, I feel its only right that I leave a review for the Bishop Street location.Just as a precursor to this review:I regularly went to UFC HonoluluI have been to Unique Fitness (Topa Financial Building)I have been to Planet Fitness Ala MoanaI have been to YMCA NuuanuAnd others, but this is just for the 'in-area' fitness facilitiesHere is my take away -- 24 Hour Fitness, located on Bishop Street is definitely convenient when it comes to location and for those who work in the business district.Being a professional that works M-F, with special projects, it is difficult to find the time to create an actual schedule to hit the gym. I find that having 24 right near my office has been both helpful and beneficial in allowing me the time to go and giving me the motivation to go.Parking (3.5 Star)After 430 (or 5) parking is available in the Executive Center and Alii Plantation for discounted rates. You can also test your luck at Walmart and look for street parking. This location does not have its own dedicated parking. Being that I work downtown and have parking, I just remain parked in my stall and go workout after work before heading home.Crowd (4.5 star)This facility is rarely busy. There is people there of all ages but everyone keeps to themselves and minds their own business. I have never had an issue with getting a machine (unless it was broken -- but thats the next section). I have never had an issue with weirdos. It should be noted, the steam room and sauna are co-ed and most times, men do not wear shirts in them. If that bothers you, then please bare that in mind.Machines (2 star)Okay -- I hate to leave 2 stars here. BUT, this 24 is on the older side and the equipment shows it. Are they functional? Yes. But are they say, UFC Quality? Absolutely not even close. That isnt the reason for 2 star though -- as age of the machines arent all that important if they get the job done. The reason for the 2 star is because, it is VERY common for machines to be broken or down for repair. And im talking FOR A WHILE. Take for example, the stairmasters. There are 5 of them. Since I started my membership at the start of the new year, only 4 had been working. After about a week, another one went down...until there were only 2 left... then 1. Luckily, they got 3 of the 5 running now, but not without issues. They step weirdly and unevenly, padding is missing, and the machines are just a little beat up.On this note, please remember to clean every machine and all equipment that you use after you use it. Its basic gym courtesy for the next person and aids in keeping the equipment nicer for longer.Amenities (3 star)Having a steam room and sauna is rare. So its great that this location has both. Only real downfall is that the steam room has never worked properly since I joined. It has since been closed for the last 2 weeks with no real re-opening date in sight. Which sucks -- because that thing is where its at. For real.Locker/Bathrooms (3 star)Being able to only attest to the women's restroom, I can say that they have what you need. Showers which have just recently been renovated, a plethora of lockers, multiple sinks with plenty of counter space and toilets. 3 stars because the toilet area always smells like sewage. I dont think that this is 24's fault though. Perhaps just old and bad plumbing. Also, there is a sign that indicates that the locker area and bathroom is cleared at a specific time daily (which eh...give or take, may or may not happen), BUT, I think given that people sweat alot, should probably be cleaned a few times a day. Thats just me though and not reflective on this review.Staff (5 star)The staff here is stellar. Proudly can say that. I am greeted every. single. time. In fact, several of the staff members have remembered my name. They are friendly, helpful and inviting. If you have questions, dont be afraid to ask -- if they don't know the answer, id be willing to bet that they'd bend over

can they open at 4 a.m instead of 5 a.m.? there's always a line waiting. And can they fix the tv/treadmill connection? the wifi is not that good and if you want to watch the news, your only choice is your phone and its always interrupted. I would like to plug my earphones in and just watch. so frustrating.

It's pretty crowded pretty much all the time, but the staff are really nice and it's been an overall positive experience going here for a while :) Whoever decorates the place like pops off during each holiday because every time I walk in it's DECKED in some kind of seasonal theming. Like whatever decoration level you're imagining when I say that, multiply it by ten. Crazy.I've seen some other reviews complain that the machines are "always broken", but in my experience I only see they're broken one day, and the staff has them fixed by the next, which I think is pretty impressive. This also doesn't really happen that often. Most machines have duplicates anyways, so it's not an issue.

I tried to tell the guy in the counter if he can make the AC low, because the gym is very cold already, but he is very rude and ignores me.

Clean gym. Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Built out of an old bank and kept the vault doors which is cool.
