We have received nothing but very poor service from the front office staff at the Kohala office. Setting up an appointment with a doctor is painfully difficult because they never answer the phone or call you back when you leave a message. The nursing staff haven't been much help either. I've left numerous messages requesting for a blood panel prior to my annual exam without a call back. It's like they can't be bothered. It makes me sad that our community does not have access to decent health care. Very disappointing!

The nurses and staff are excellent and caring and passionate but the management and doctors and administrators aren’t terrible after being a patient for about five years I was kicked out from my PCP service their ethics and actions are horrible from the top . I highly recommend finding someone else or somewhere else to go for PCP services. And I’m born and raised in Honokaa Hamakua.

We are traveling and my spouse was kicked by a horse. We were taken back immediately and the nurse, a gentlemen, was amazing. The doctor was efficient and friendly and competent. We were in and out with stitches and X-ray in a short period of time for any ER visit. Excellent care!

I am so excited to have found a wonderful Doctor here at the Hamakua Health Center. I have learned so much about my body and how it is functioning. I had other doctors before in the past with different health care, but it seems no one explained in detail how to manage my illness. Thank you so much Dr. Eric Murray for caring......

I have been so fortunate to grow with HHC. They accept me with so much love and compassion and I am greatful for the loving staff in the front and their patience with me. They had nurtured me and supported my healing. I thank Anthony Giassoli, MD, quiet,a pillar of kindness and ability to distance without judgment. Very kind and dedicated himself in helping those that are less fortunate and has been there with community. Patient and kind. And teaches you in every stage of your healing.
