After shopping at Big Island Cookies, I refueled to return to Kona. As soon as you enter the store, there is a counter on the left. When I told him that I would pay for $15 in cash at the No. 6 pump, he asked me if it was 87. I forgot for a moment, but when I told him it was 87 regular, he smiled. I was there. It's a nice stand.

The worker was upset that someone was buying cigarettes for an underaged person so denied me tobacco products even though I had my id? Weird and annoying honestly

On Kauai this might be the only open place for food sometimes. I think it’s best to utilize the food cold in the chiller because of the microwave right there in the mart. I heated up a pancake sandwich, a Teriyaki hamburger, Hawaiian sweetbread egg and cheese sandwich. Early morning flight, had to vacuum the car, get gas and something hot one stop.

Good gas quality compared to Aloha. Good tasty food here. Stay away from their automated car wash and vacuums.

Filled up with gas and asked to use restrooms. Was told they were located outside and if locked someone was using. Waited 15 minutes and wound up having to go back to our rented place a half hour away because our granddaughter couldn’t hold it any longer and wet herself. Come to find out there wasn’t anyone in the restroom this was their lazy way of getting out of cleaning it. Saw an employee come out and use a key to access it as we were driving away. Why couldn’t they just have told us they had it closed to the public?!!

Kilauea Shell car wash broke my Outback's front windshield and the owner said prove it and would not pay for my $300 replacement windshield .. Kilauea Shell is the worst car wash in Hawaii !! Go across the street to Lex Brodie's if you want to wash your car without paying for a new Windshield ..

The carwash broke my windshield and they said I have no proof it was the car wash because I heard the windshield crack when the arm of the washer put pressure on my windshield ..They refused to cover the 300 hundred dollars and would not even cover half of it when I said I would accept that ..Don’t wash your car at Kilauea Shell car wash ..Warning ,,Beware !!

The owner was EXTREMELY rude an is an Eastern European. I am going to report them to the Better Businesses Bereau. Stay AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

The service is very friendly! Pay $100 first, tell the number of the oil gun, and then you can refuel. Change will be given after filling the tank.

This review is for the carwash and the rude clerk and manager inside.. I have come to this carwash many times. Today I came and bought gas and the 12.00 Deluxe carwash. I didnt know they had a new system until I was up to the carwash entrance. The screen asks no touch or soft touch, i had no clue what that meant because I didnt notice their tiny signs or realize they had even remodeled. So I went through and noticed the brushes never turn on and it was more like a weak pressure wash. My truck was still very dirty after spending $12 so I went inside to talk to them. The clerk and the woman manager were extremly rude and said "well to bad you should have read the signs" I said well to bad my truck is still dirty and I wont be coming back here again, good thing theres a brand new one opening across the street! Gotta step up your service when you get competition

Tell your friends... the new, upgraded carwash at the Shell station on KÄ«lauea Street in Hilo can cause damage. I witnessed this first hand. The force of the water spray is so strong that it snapped off the Big Island Toyota license-plate holder on a black late-model Toyota 4Runner. The broken-off piece was ejected out of the wash. To be fair, I cannot say if the licence-plate holder was installed correctly. There is a warning posted regarding loose parts. I was behind the 4Runner at about 12:30 pm 7-29-2018, waiting my turn. I backed out of the line and told the cashier. I could not get my money back because I had already entered the code, but I am just so glad I did not enter the wash. The station is not responsible for damages as a standard policy. Please check for loose parts before entering the car wash.
