These people are “professionals,” in the best way. I am a LONG-time user of Apple products. Got my first Mac in 1987.I talked to one of their technicians, “Evan.”He obviously knew what he was talking about and neither tried to “sell” me a service nor talk me out of it; he merely gave me the facts and pertinent information regarding an upgrade to my iMac I was on the fence about attempting to do myself.I HAVE had work done by them before—an iPhone screen replacement.A little more expensive than a local competitor, but, like I said, “professionals” … who (not insignificantly) are Apple Certified. You can trust these people.NOTE: I just realized I was logged into Google with an alternative account with a pseudonym for this review. Doesn’t lend itself well to credibility. My real name is Brian Ansorge and I have been living on Hawaii for 24 years. Used to work at KHOP for 3.5. This is a real review and, NO, I am not “shilling.” Just saying, Mac Made Easy is good for Apple product users, experienced or new.

I came here with a disabled iPhone. They told me it was going to be $65 for a mandatory check-in Diagnosis fee (Non-refundable). which I was aware of and paid for. However, they could not fix the issue therefore telling me to send it to their tech. and the $65 would cover the cost. To top it off they got my information wrong, which I corrected them and due to false information, they could not contact me, then they held my iPhone for a week leaving me to go there in person. and when I arrived, they wanted an additional $450 for tech to fix it. I'm not only upset about that, but I also went to a different repair store, and they took 1 hour to fix the problem and said whoever checked it last. DIDNT EVEN OPEN IT. Which Mac Made Easy claimed they did.

I have been going to this store since it opened in Hilo. The staff has progressively gotten worse and worse. Every time I go in now, they immediately want to charge me $175 just to answer any question about my computer, that I bought for over $2000 at their store! Bunch of self righteousness and incapable employees. I do not recommend

Horrible staff, they speak to you as if they don't even want to help you. Very short with customers no aloha. Extremely unprofessional.

Brought in my barely-under-warranty Apple Studio Display for repair. Seth and the team at MME had a bear of time negotiating with Apple to diagnose the unit, and after weeks it was ultimately replaced. I can't say enough good things about Seth and the MME team. Seth was on the phone with me each step of the way (and there were a lot of steps). Excellent communication and customer support. They definitely get my business next time I need computer related equipment of service.

Fantastic service! I was having a problem with my personal laptop that was about to lose AppleCare while travelling to the big island. Seth and staff made sure that the problem was fixed right even though the first attempt to resolve the problem didn’t work. I am thrilled to have a working Mac again at a time when I could not justify buying a replacement.

I was visiting Hawaii on vacation and my iPhone 11 froze up. I spent a couple of hours with Apple Support on another phone. They eventually told me I would need a reset, and made an appointment for me with Mac Made Easy in Hilo. Lee was very friendly and helpful (he knew I was a tourist and probably wouldn't be returning). He determined that I wouldn't need a reset, and returned the working phone to me in just a few minutes. Charged me only $35. I'm a happy camper!

While you won't find an Apple Store on the Big Island (or on any island in Hawaiʻi aside from Oʻahu), you get something maybe even more awesome — a locally-owned, small business in Mac Made Easy. While Barbara Mandrell might have been country when country wasn't cool, Mac Made Easy were Apple geeks when that wasn't necessarily cool... Long before iPhone, iPod, and even the iMac, MME started selling Performas, PowerBooks, Power Macintoshes, StyleWriters, LaserWriters, and, later, Newtons and QuickTakes long before Apple reinvented itself when Steve returned to the company in 1997 (and, shortly thereafter, became their iCEO — interim CEO).The teams at each MME I've visited have been helpful, awesome geeks that clearly love what they do. Stop by and say "aloha (again)!"

I always have a great experience with this store. Im going in tomorrow to pick up a hard to find cable that Apple no longer has. They've been really helpful in the past and have saved me a lot of time and headache. Really appreciate you guys !

Very pleased with customer service and professionalism of staff at Mac Made Easy. Will definitely be my go to store for items needed or repair from now on . I used to go to Tropic Mac but I believe the business is no longer there and so it was nice to know that there is a place in Hilo that I can go to. My brother gifted me with a Mac that was stolen from my car and returned by the police after one whole year Seth assured me that I could bring it in and test. They were able to save some of the Information and the best part is I walked out with a brand new Mac afterwards . Nice and clean environment too

65 dollars for 15 minutes, cleaned the screen mostly, unfortunately did not fix issues that I’m still dealing with and told me to buy a NEW 12.6iPad Pro if I expected it to work. Anyone else get upgrades that inevitably cause your device to not function then tell you of course you need to purchase a new one?And they refused to take cash, not a problem I have few credit cards but I thought that was illegal to refuse to take legal tender.
