I bought a 2019 Jeep at Kama’aina Motors and had the most amazing salesman, Ed Delacruz, to assist me with the selection! I’m female and have bought several used vehicles in my life. In my opinion, it’s practical and more economical than buying a new vehicle (which seems to lose an immediate $15K value as soon as it leaves the lot). Ed Delacruz was kind, intelligent, and a local Hawaiian resident who understood exactly what I wanted and guided me properly throughout the entire process. He even drove with me to the top of Mauna Kea from Hilo to make sure the vehicle made it up and down the mountain and had the power I needed. As most locals know, the top of Mauna Kea is around 14,000 feet at a pretty steep incline. The vehicle operated perfectly. Ed said I was on his personal record for the longest test drive?. He was fun to work with! My experience was very positive purchasing this vehicle (it only took a few hours to purchase and negotiations were very easy).
If you need a vehicle, i highly recommend you go through Ed DelaCruz as your salesman at Kama’aina Motors. He’s completely transparent and will always answer your questions or find the answer. It should be noted he was highly recommended to me by my police partner at the Hawaii Police Department because of his , honesty, experience, and character. Check him out at Kama’aina Motors. We had a great experience with Ed today, and purchased our first vehicle in a dealership! We were not sure what to expect coming in, but Ed made us feel safe and calm. He had a genuine presence and you can tell he really cares. He provided education about our options, and he wasn’t pushy, which we really appreciated! ?We ended up leaving with an amazing new van, which we love and we are so excited about! Not a friendly place. Service department tries to upsell and charges so much. Parts department isn’t friendly either. Maybe it’s because I’m a white guy, not sure. Either way, I’d avoid this place if you can. Definitely makes me less likely to buy a ram again.

I've had plenty of horrible experiences buying cars but for once, this time was the complete opposite.
Donovan helped me pick out the right vehicle and never pressured me, was always upfront with all of the terms and if he didn't know an answer, he took the time to find out instead of just guessing. He didn't seem rushed or bothered by my indecisive nature or tons of questions. Truly a laid back and honest guy.
The finance guy was awesome too, absolutely no pressure to add on anything I didn't want or need. My husband and I don't typically buy the extra packages but because of the lack of pressure, we were able to decide we did want a couple of them. Crazy how that works... Dealerships should take note of the way they run here.
I was in and out in around 2 hours with no prior preparation. It was a pleasure working with their whole team. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.
