Awesome experience overall! The location was easy to get to, the staff was friendly, and the cars are clean. It was my first time renting with this service and I was surprised by the good selection of cars and affordable prices. I will definitely rent with this service again.

Do not rent from this company! I reserved a truck over a week ahead of time for my son and I to use while we were in Hilo. Never was told there was a possibility that I would not have a vehicle on the date I reserved. Fast forward to the end of the day on Friday before I get to Hilo on Monday at 6:30am and Harper calls me at 5:15pm, fifteen minutes before they close that they don’t have any truck for me for Monday. That the person who had it before me is keeping it. What?!? I already booked our flights that can’t be changed and they never ever told me this was a possibility. Absolutely unprofessional and they did absolutely nothing about it. Worst company I’ve ever dealt it. That’s a bold statement and I mean it. Don’t waste your time or money!

Our rental agent, Willa, was very nice and super helpful. She provided a lot of information on Mauna Kea and actually talked us into delaying our rental and coming back the next day. It was the right choice because the weather was much improved and they had the stargazing program that night. Overall, super experience!

The single least customer service oriented vehicle rental in history. Show up early, as it is an hour to turn in a vehicle while cousin iPad films every part of your truck. Including a home made hobby cart mirror to film the underside... worst customer experience you'll run across. Get a Jeep from Avis.
