“Cheapest gas station near Hilo Airport. This is a gas station operated by a supermarket chain called Safeway. If you plan to return your rental car at Hilo Airport, we recommend stopping here to get your last tank of gas. As expected from a gas station restaurant, you can always see a line of cars waiting to fill up. This is self-fueling, and you insert the card you wish to pay with first and then remove the card. After that, you can select whether to receive a receipt, select the octane level, and start refueling. The automatic refueling lever on the handle of the gas pump may be broken, so it may be inconvenient to have to keep holding it.”

“Well-stocked with an amazing variety of local favorites and grocery staples, friendly helpful staff and top tier bakery section...KTA Puainako has always been my families go-to store bakery for birthdays or just sweet treats to bring home. Happy to say since moving back to the Big Island I now carry that tradition. Must trys: KTA chantilly cake (second only to standard bakery), date nut bars which are def underrated or the scrumptious macadamia nut danish! For a quick and affordable grab n go lunch you could also opt for their prepared poke bowls or fresh bentos. Mahalo KTA Puainako :)”
“I am so grateful for their cashiers whom are absolutely positively happy in doing such a wonderful job, along with when looking for an item another person told me exactly where to find the item. Customer service is like Ohana to all they encounter. Mahalo nui. ?”
“Good grocery store but not my favorite KTA location simply due to size and variety of items. I didn't see a Poke/seafood section or a bakery/hot food section. Still a great choice if you are visiting or base yourself close to downtown Hilo.”

“Such great employees at this location the deli and seafood counters have awesome people working there and the employees at the registers are always super friendly which keeps me coming back! I do suggest keeping your valuables hidden from sight due to the homeless issues in the area but just remain aware of wherever you are and whoever is around”

You said you'd go back and check, and to give you 3 minutes. You were back in under 2 -- I timed you! -- with a beautiful box of packaged red grapes and told me to take my pick!
