Coco nails are fabulous! I had my nails done to perfection here whilst visiting Hawaii from Australia. A great price and the girls are so lovely. They have a very dedicated and loyal local following. That speaks volumes. A lovely salon and quality work.

I’ve been a regular for 4 years and was always happy with what I got till this lady showed up. My left pointer fingers acrylic was lifting already which I pointed out to her just for her to RIP IT OFF!! she then proceeds to put nail glue on it and tries to still drill it and put a nail on it while still bleeding. I had to walk out because of how much you guys let this slide absolutely disgusting. She blames me saying I carry heavy stuff which is why it was lifting and for her to say a lot of girls nails did this. If I could give 0 stars I would.

This has been the worst experience EVER. Rude service. I took my 5 grand daughter’s to get their nails painted just painted and after the first one the tech was so rude complaining about my grand daughter moving too much and he had to fix her polish. He didn’t want to do the other 4. As my second grand daughter sat down he told her if she moves or mess it up his not fixing it. Then he said his not taking the other girls because he has customers. Well they are paying customers also. He got upset and slammed his drawer on his table i then told my grand daughter to stand up we’re leaving. How dare him to treat them less then and make them feel unworthy of. Never ever again will I EVER go there. Disgrace business

Coco Nails is conveniently located in the Prince Kuhio Mall in Hilo Hawai’i. There shop has plenty of tables and chairs that appear to be kept decently clean. If you are like me, then cleanliness is a must. However… This is one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to. Keep in mind, I have tried this shop twice before but still gave it the benefit of the doubt that perhaps I just had a less experienced tech before. I also had to return to fix the errors made the first two times, which I’m glad they offered, but it is still really inconvenient. I still thought it deserved a third try, which I came to quickly regret. In my last and final experience, I had a tech who barely spoke English, not that speaking a different language is bad at all, but communicating what I wanted or my concerns was very difficult. Still, the store manager, a man who greeted you, answered the phones, and took the reservation at the front, helped to translate. Either he’s not a very good translator or he didn’t listen, because I still received what I didn’t ask for like the previous two times. My main issue was the amount of powder being used. I stopped the tech twice and explained to the manager my concerns with applying so much powder. He said “don’t worry, she is going to sand it down.” So with no other options, I waited. She still kept using large amounts of acrylic and even after sanding, the nails were wide and bulky. When too much powder is used, there is a large hump that forms as it grows away from the cuticle. The nail lifts and hair and other things get caught in it. This makes washing your hair painful and become a nuisance for other things. I stopped and communicated this AGAIN to the “manager”. And again, he assured me that wouldn’t happen, as if I never had my nails done before and wouldn’t know. That’s kind of insulting btw. She continues but she barely sands any of the bulk away like he said she would. Btw, why apply so much just to sand it off?? When she started painting, I knew that her work was basically done and I would leave the shop unsatisfied for a third time. When I paid, which wasn’t cheap, I pointed out to the manager how bad the nails were including showing him the tips that were so thick from using so much acrylic. Nothing was offered to remedy the situation except telling me to come back IF those things happened to my nails (the gap and the nail lifting). I replied, why would I come back when clearly no one listened to me? Why do they think we always have time to come back to fix what should have not occurred to begin with, especially when I stopped to point it out three times?! Needless to say, in LESS THAN A WEEK, my nails grew away from the cuticle, leaving a big gap and began lifting. A few days later, I could pop most of them off. I decided that was it and found a new salon instead. If you are considering Coco Nails (located in the mall) for your nail needs, then I recommend you save your money u0026 the hassle, and find a salon that actually listens to their customers. Find a shop that provides better quality and pride in their work.

When I came, lady took use one towels and put under my arms. I came to remove my jell nails and make manicure. She took plastic nail and squeeze between my nail and jell nails and ripping jell nails. It was so painful. She ripped my nail and I was bleeding. Then she put some glue on my ripped nail. She didn’t cut my nails even. It’s was terrible experience! Never be back !!!

The older woman in salon tried to use the same tools from my pedi on my manicure, and didn't sanitize anything and I kept asking her to. Also toe nails and dead skin dropped from tools on to the table and for 30 mins I kept asking her to clean and she didn't not. Very horrible service and she cut my toe nails super short

55$ for the pedi, 15$ for gel, 10$ for unicorn powder, and 10$ for callus removal. The pedicure was okay. My sister did acrylics $60 it was okay as well the colors and design she chose blended in but that was her fault. And my eyebrow wax $12 literally ripped my skin off. Also my sister was watching and they dip the same stick in the wax over and over.

My friend and I went on a whim on a weekday afternoon. They were able to book us in and our nails tech, Eva and Ivy, were the best! They were so kind and easy to chat with. I personally stayed quiet with my headphones and they were very accommodating to that as well. Ivy was so amazing at making nail designs and I let her have free reign over the design. I just told her my base color and that I wanted white flowers with yellow centers and she did amazing. I definitely recommend themAlso note: they only accept cash or Venmo for tips

Best salon in Hilo!Idk what was going on with the other low reviews, i personally have never had a poor experience and come regularly. These ladies take great care of my nails, always absolutely SLAY what I want (im particular) and are also fast and gentle with my acrylics as I have sensetive nailbeds. The only criticism i have is that i wish their tipping system was a little easier! Cant tip on your card and I dont have venmo, but i know to bring cash with me now! Mahalo ladies for your stellar service!

I gave this place a few chances especially before feeling compelled to write this review. I went here about 4 times and I won't ever go here again. Each time my nails are not done properly. I usually get the gel acrylics. The nails are never covered properly and already seem to need a filling after a day or two. Even my recent pedicure, the polish didn't cover the whole nails. On top of that, when I went to pay this last time, I was told that I had to pay five dollars more because she used the gel powder. I never asked for that nor did I check it off on the paper that they gave me to fill out. The man at the front is obnoxious and didn't care at all. On top of that I had to go to an ATM to take money out to tip the girls even though I really didn't want to. I stopped at the store to shop before going to the ATM and the man at the front had the nerve to call me even after I said that I was coming back, which I've done before! They are money hungry with crappy service. The time before last there was a girl who wanted to change her toe polish because she chose the wrong one and they made such a big deal out of it and left her sitting there for a long time before helping her. She looked so upset. Horrible place. The only reason most people go is because it's conveniently located in the mall.
