Website says that they had my part in stock. I called to make sure before driving all the way to Hilo and the guy tells me that they don't have the part I saw on the website but they do have a twice as expensive version of the part I needed. When I asked about the one I wanted he said that he could get it if I wanted to wait 5 days. Now you know why Carquest isn't a saved contact number.

This is another auto parts place that doesn't honor their defective battery warranty. There is also a very strict proof of purchase policy (paper receipt). Without the original paper receipt you are unable to return or exchange anything even if it was THEIR ERROR and no exceptions even if you bought it yesterday and the sales person remembered you. This is real BS making up all kinds of BS excuses and outright ripping off customers. Best to AVOID HERE AND JUST GO TO NAPA where they actually care about their customers and don't BS you...

Carquest remanufactured starter that I got for my 2009 Toyota Corolla defective solenoid. Have to bring back starter with receipt for refund or defective exchange. I did not get a starter for a core. Went to Napa no problem with Napa starter. Now I am out $66 for core at Napa since carquest would not give back my starter to return to Napa to get back $66. Now I am out $66. Napa has a lifetime warranty. Stay away from carquest they gave a starter with defective solenoid. Went today and told could only get an exchange starter limited could not get a refund or core. Napa come with lifetime warranty. Do not go to carquest for starters, I got one with defective solenoid!
