I recently had the privilege of visiting Big Island Brake & Front End Repair for a brake job, and I must say, it was an experience worth raving about. This shop is great. Very detail oriented quality work. I had my front end and alignment done. They only replaced what was needed and did their best to help me keep the cost down.

He fit us in for an emergency brake check on a Friday afternoon, showed us what was going on, drove around with us to make sure, and told us it wasn’t a problem we needed to pay for at this time. Any work needed on front end repair Gary Rubio is the guy to see. He takes pride and is serious when it comes to his work. Needed some rear break lines to get looked at and I was adamant that I didn't want any repairs/work done before given a quote or estimate. Gary was very professional to give me my figure with just changing out the problem and the estimate to change out all the brake lines. The grand total was reasonable and worked within my budget so Gary went ahead and changed out all brake lines. The day of pickup I started work at 2:30pm but had walked to his shop assuming my truck would be ready to head to work. Gary was stern about a full check over to make sure my truck was functioning properly. I was unable to drive my truck to work but, he arranged to have his associate drop me off to work and he brought my truck to my job with no additional costs and no charge! This is why this review is a novel just because I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about his professionalism and his integrity when it comes to working on your vehicle. Gary has great referrals too. Have Gary work on your vehicle first and any other problems outside of what Gary can't do, perhaps ask for referrals if other mechanics that can work on your other problems. Been to see Gary several times, to do work on several different vehicles. He has been a godsend. I have had nothing but great service and he has worked with and around what worked FOR ME -- not something I can say about most places I choose to give my patronage. I appreciate all he does and recommend him and his shop too anyone.
