The employees at this branch are really kind and helpful. When I encountered a major difficulty with the ATM machine, they were extremely competent and knew exactly how to help me quickly.

A "bank" is a bank "of course, of course". However, when it comes to finding a local Ohana bank you can trust... Bank of Hawaii keeps me on track financially of course. Locally, the people within the bank are the best of course. Technologically, BoH.com is exploring the future once more... So, all aboard for this bank has set a new course...

No one ever answers the phone! Both the new brand in Hilo and the branch located in Kta. Also their customer service person it was a lady she was very rude! Not friendly at all.

I would give this bank negative stars if possible. Broken atms. No bill pay, invisible customer service. You call and it hangs up on you. Stay as far away from this bank as possible.

I was told that with a $6000 minimum balance I got fees waived and free mobile banking. Surprise - if you want to pay your bills online, it's $ 5.95 a month. Even though it costs the bank way less to administer than paper checks, they still feel the need to bone you for actually using e-payments. That stupidity just cost them my personal busines, my commercial business, and my mortgage. If they'll screw you on something as simple as online bill payments, what else? Oh, ATM charges. They are charging $3.00 to use THEIR ATMs. Sorry. I don't need that kind of nickel and dime BS, and neither do you.
