We walked towards the building to go to the bathroom and this white haired man walked and locked the door 5 minutes before closing time.

What a great resource for people and I can't believe I'm the first to review it. It's pretty much the first building you'd see coming into town on your left if driving up the northwest coastline coming into Hawi. Friendly people there to greet you and answer questions or guide you about the area. Can get directions, brochures or ideas for things to do. I just followed my curiosity to this building and it led to a nice visit in town and to Pololu Valley which honestly I'd not have known about it if the lady here hadn't advised us about it. ***Bonus, they have a very nice set of clean, serviceable restooms for visitors to use. There is a donation box outside them for the upkeep and they ARE so nice and convenient that I've always left something. They also sell water here.
