Good alternative market if you are staying towards north shore. Had everything I needed and more. Good meat and seafood selection.

Closest groceries to the house we rented. Heavy fish smell from the entrance where the fish counter is located. Should have purchased more at Costco even if we gave the extra away it would have been way more cost effective.

Super nice to have the things I want, close to home and convinient to grab and go. They're open pretty late too, which is nice cause the only other thing in the area is 7-11. Unless you drive elsewhere for groceries. The staff are friendly and cordial. Everything is nice and I've always found what I wanted. I recommend grabbing a poke bowl if you want, or do what I do, and just grab an amount you want, go home to cook rice, and make your own poke bowls ? or whatever is easier. The prices of those have been changing soo much in the last few years. I think the total prices for the 'same' order has changed at least 3-4 times on the last few years, but not because eof market price. It's been because of how they serve it and price the product? I think whatever works out is good. Can't deny that the sunrise one is good imo, and I'd always get that or try something new. Also, the marlin one too. But buy toothpicks if you get those, cause the meat loves to get stuck in your teeth lol although super good! That sesame seed oil taste mixed with other flavors ?

2.5 stars. I walked in to check this market out as I am always fascinated by grocery markets in Oahu, HI. Just to see what they have, especially if they have poke. They had a long line of people at the deli area. I chose to pass on buying some poke, as most of the signage said, "previously frozen." Don't get me wrong, nothing is wrong with that at all. This was an older store, but it was kinda dimly lit.

Interesting store. I came for the poke but unfortunately the poke counter was closed at 11am on a Saturday. No hours posted. Prices of some items were competitive with Honolulu store prices.

This is a nice small grocery store on the North Shore. They actually sell beer and wine here, which is hard to find in the Laie area, I assume due to the Mormon influence in town. Prices and selection of food and drinks are all reasonable and to be expected in a small grocery store.

One of the only options nearby, but they had a decent selection of food and drinks at fair prices (by island standards). Do not expect this to be like grocery stores on the mainland where you have a half dozen brands/flavors/options for any one item...they have lots to pick from, but only one or two choices for any one thing. Coffee creamer in particular was a struggle.

I am an elderly Kama'aina having lived on Oahu since 1970. I shopped at the Wahiawa store for decades but now live near the Hau'ula store. (I now must pick up my prescriptions at Longs since sadly the Foodland Pharmacy has shut down.) I completed my grocery shopping since I was in the area. I noticed their Help Wanted sign as I entered the store. As I was leaving I put my two reusable shopping bags into my own small cart as I don't own a car and travel by bus. As I was leaving, the cashier ordered me to return the Tamura's shopping cart to the outside. Trying to exit the store trying to push two carts out was extremely difficult for me. I was a bit taken back by her lack of customer service. Plus the workers don't bother to bag your groceries. It will do in a pinch but the store is like shopping in a warehouse. No frills, no customer service. The only nice part about my experience today was a stockman who looked to see if more CPK pizzas were available as the were out of stock and it was a sale item.

We went here because Foodland is closed on Sunday. I found the prices here crazy even with the high prices in the islands, Ani sweetbread was on sale for over $ 7.00 And I think the regular price was something like 12. I grabbed a couple of things that we needed and proceeded to check out. I put my items on the belt and said hello to the cashier and got no response. Once she finished ringing up my items she said the price and I paid thanking her with no response so I said you're welcome again no response and she then pointed to the receipt machine for me to take my own receipt. Today I ran into Foodland and was greeted with a hello. For what this store charges they could invest in a upgrade .

The ahi tuna is so good I would definitely go straight to the fish market area right when you walk in. The lady working there was so nice and helpful! It's an odd looking place at first but sometimes that's what it takes for really good food!
