“We visited Kauai 5/23 to5/29/23 and found this delightful gift shop and, next door, the amazing Kalaheo Cafe. At Tradewinds, I bought beautiful brushed sterling sliver earrings and necklace pendants in a Plumeria design created by Ted Daily for my daughter and daughter-in-love, plus some pieces for myself. The girls simply loved their gifts! Tradewinds owner, Maria, was most helpful in assisting with my selections. I highly recommend this gift shop and cafe. You will not be disappointed.”

“You can spend at least an hour looking at all the handmade treasures at your own pace without someone hovering over you! Gorgeous hand blocked printed tableware, crystals, jewelry, wind chimes, blouses and dresses, wraps, and so much more. Some items are a little pricey but overall pretty reasonable for beautiful pieces.”

“Huge selection of high quality shell leis. They also have other beautiful jewelry in jade, Tahitian pearls among others. Fair prices and no junk. Never made it to the next room with island clothing. Not open on weekends. Well worth the drive.”

“Absolutely loved the experience. I'm not one to shop long in jewelry stores - typically due to lack of guidance - but that was not the case, here. From the moment I walked through the door, Dorri was exceptionally helpful. I simply told her my price range and an idea of what I was looking for and within 15 minutes, I was checking out at the register with two beautiful sets of pear earrings. Dorri went out of her way to assist me, and I was very thankful for her professionalism and knowledge of the products she is selling. I highly recommend this jewelry store, exceptional quality and reasonable pricing. I spent ~$90 with tax, and the 2 sets of pearl earrings are stunning.”

“I had been looking for shells for my granddaughter and finally found them in this delightful shop, at a very reasonable price. ( from 80 cents to $2.80 each). I also bought one that was quite large- maybe 6-7 inches long- in a beautiful pink that was only $12.80. I was very pleased with this purchase. The other items in the store were really nice too- not your typical made in China surfboards. They had totes and other items made of fabric that are great souvenirs. The sales staff was very helpful and pleasant, giving me a basket to hold all my shells and wrapping them carefully for me to travel. The wooden serving pieces were also very nice and very well- priced. Lots to chose from - I think I might have to go back tomorrow for more!!!”

“Cute little store. They have tons of t-shirts, swim wear, socks, ornaments, etc. Although the shopping experience was a little strange, I did find a lot of Souvenirs I love. The signs saying what was on sale were a bit difficult to interpret. The lady helping us wasn't very nice, reminded us she was closing in 10min, and made some jokes about how long we were taking. Then when we brought our stuff to the counter to pay, she thought I had switched a price tag (didn't believe the price until I went back and grabbed an identical shirt with the identical price).”

“This is my favorite boutique on island. We spend a couple months on Kauai every year and driving down to Veronica’s is one of the first trips we make and one of the last before we leave. And sometimes in between! I always find clothes I absolutely love (my weakness), but the jewelry, artwork, everything is fabulous! And Veronica is a lovely woman and so very helpful.”
