“Hidden gem around the side of the market itself: a little burger joint! Unbelievably cheap for Kauai and some of the best burgers I’ve tasted in a while. I had the double cheeseburger deluxe and it was the perfect lunch on an overcast Hawaiian day.”

“I found the staff to be friendly and helpful even when my questions had nothing to do with their store. Because of this, I went back and purchased $100 worth of merchandise.”

“This little market is the best!!! My husband and I shop here often and they have the best snacks, coffee, and customer service in Kapaa!! They are located next to the bus stop and easy to get to if you just need to pick up something in a hurry. I absolutely love the Menehune Food Mart!!”

“Hours needs to be updated as of June 2024z We came in after 10PM, and was told that they are open 24/7. Lots of food options in the fridge, such as chicken teriyaki, spam musubi, spicy shrimp katsu musubi. Also a few hot food like buns and shu mai. The area probably isn't the best. There are a couple random people sitting outside of the store.”

“We stopped by here on a Sunday before going on a hike. They had a ton of prepared meals including hot and refrigerated items. We picked up some spam musubi, guava manju among other things. If you are on a budget, this is the place to get ready made food. If you like sweets, definitely get the manju. They are delectable pastry bites with fillings such as original, apple and guava. This 7 eleven reminds me of the ones in Japan with all the prepared food. The 7 elevens on the main land don’t even come close. A must stop when in Kauai.”

“This place fulfills so many needs for travelers staying close by. We bought sunscreen products, medicine, beer/wine, snacks and even souvenirs on multiple trips there. The staff were the friendliest of all establishments we went to on the island. They were all very helpful as well. It would be nice if their hours were longer, but still a great local place when staying close by.”

“I love Longs! I so miss them on the Mainland. CVS is fine as a pharmacy, but does not have near the merchandise that Longs carries. Longs near Poipu had what I needed during my week in town and I ended up stopping in 3 times for Food, cleaning supplies, and souvenirs.”

“I miss Longs Drug Stores. It felt like home entering a Longs again! The staff is welcoming and friendly. The store is ultra clean and the choices of items are perfect. This store in Koloa is filled with local items that other stores don't carry. I'm thankful for this store! Close in proximity and stocked!! Highly recommend!!”

“It’s the only place within easy walking distance of Poipu Beach that sells groceries, beer in 6 and 12-packs, and a bunch of other standard items. Yes, it is expensive but so is every other store and you pay a premium for proximity. High quality, large selection, hard to hate on the cost of convenience.”

“It was a typical Friday night when I decided to make a quick stop at the Circle K. Little did I know, this seemingly mundane errand would turn into an unforgettable adventure.

As I walked into the store, I noticed a peculiar sign that read, "Free Coffee for Time Travelers." Intrigued, I asked the cashier about it. He chuckled and said, "It’s just a little joke we have here, but go ahead, coffee's on the house tonight."

While pouring myself a cup of the finest hazelnut brew, an elderly man dressed in a Victorian-era suit approached me. He introduced himself as Dr. Reginald, a time traveler who had lost his way. At first, I thought it was a prank, but his detailed knowledge of historical events was astonishing.

We sat in the corner of the store, sipping coffee as he recounted tales of ancient Rome, medieval Europe, and even the distant future. The other customers didn't seem to notice us, as if we were in a bubble of our own.

Just when I thought the night couldn’t get any stranger, I heard a loud crash coming from the back of the store. The cashier and I rushed over and we saw small robot, no taller than a coffee machine, tangled inside of the mop bucket. Dr. Reginald casually strolled over, claiming it was his assistant from the future, sent to bring him back.

With a few tweaks and adjustments, the robot sprang to life, projecting a holographic map of the time-space continuum. The cashier and I watched in awe as Dr. Reginald and his robot assistant stepped into a glowing portal, waving goodbye.

Before leaving, he handed me a small device, saying, "For emergencies only. You never know when you might need a time traveler." And just like that, they were gone.

I stood in silence, trying to process what had just happened. As I walked out, I noticed the sign had changed to, "Thank you for traveling with Circle K."

If you’re looking for more than just snacks and gas, this Circle K might surprise you. Who knows, you might even run into a time traveler. Highly recommend for the coffee and the unexpected adventures!”
