Kaimana Shave Ice
66519 Kamehameha Hwy, HaleiwaWow, this place is a must especially for first timers of Hawaiian Shave Ice. The whole vibe of this place feels like a true island vacation. I got a half and half shave ice of strawberry and mango with macadomian nut ice cream in the center topped with sweet cream. It was a melty, fruity, creamy and nutty dream in even scoop.

Aoki's Shave Ice
66-082 Kamehameha Hwy, HaleiwaVisited AOKI’s SHAVE ICE after surfing Haliewa on a bit too big a swell. (For me anyway) The friendly staff were excellent and the flavoured shaved ice we had was absolutely amazing. No wait in queue and a great environment in an equally great town. HALIEWA!!!!! OAHU! Just saying.

Haleʻiwa Bowls
66-030 Kamehameha Hwy, HaleiwaBest acai bowl in the island, love that it doesn’t melt as quick so I can still enjoy it, and good sized bowls

Farm To Barn Cafe & Juicery
66-320 Kamehameha Hwy, HaleiwaLet me start off with saying this is getting a 4 because of the vibes and not the food The set up is awesome. You order inside the shack and get a buzzer and just grab a table in the lawn and enjoy a meal outside. It's the exact set up you want when eating in the North Shore The loco moco itself was very average. I wouldn't tell anyone to go out of their way for the food since it didn't blow me away. Albeit, I will tell people to go there simply for the vibes and staff. That is what made my experience awesome. You really feel like you're in paradise

Waialua Bakery & Juice Bar

Matsumoto Shave Ice
66-111 Kamehameha Hwy #605, HaleiwaSo good. The line is long yes. But it does move fast. Inexpensive. A small it’s a perfect size for 1 or 2 people.
The parking is very limited for the amount of people visiting the area so be mindful of that.

Storto's Deli & Sandwich Shop
66-215 Kamehameha Hwy, HaleiwaStopped in here while on island tour. Very good and delicious ? 1/2 sandwich was at least as large as a subway footlong and infinitely better.

Pupukea Grill
59-680 Kamehameha Hwy, HaleiwaFavorite food truck on the island if not the world. Make sure you go past the food truck park because it’s not there, it’s a standalone truck opposite shark’s cove. The locals bowl has always been my go-to. I slightly prefer the shoyu chicken over the kalua pork. Hella tender and well-seasoned thigh meat just like we asians like it!! ???
The poke is fresh and tasty, and I always want more of the sweet potato mash they make with coconut milk. They inspired me to make mashed taro with coco milk at home. Seen the price go up from 12 to 19 but everything seems to be $20 here now. Anyways come support this tasty women-owned truck so we can all keep enjoying ono eats!!! ??

If you expect spicy Korean food and order it spicy, you will be disappointed.
It has a spicy sriracha-like taste.
Garlic butter is highly recommended??

Seven Brothers - Sharks Cove
59-712 Kamehameha Hwy, HaleiwaSamoa burger with teriyaki sauce was delicious. It was perfectly seasoned, cooked, and sauced. The bread used for the burger buns was nice and soft and complemented everything well. The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had and was nicely seasoned. Somehow they were crisp/soft at the same time, man I could eat a whole bowl!

Kua Aina Sandwich Shop
66-160 Kamehameha Hwy, HaleiwaKua Aina Sandwich Shop is a North Shore institution, and their pineapple burger is a must-try that truly lives up to the hype. This burger is out of this world, packed with flavor, and a perfect example of how Kua Aina transforms a simple dish into something extraordinary. The patty is thick, juicy, and grilled to perfection, with just the right amount of smoky char that adds depth and brings out the natural flavor of the beef.
But what really sets this burger apart is the fresh, caramelized slice of pineapple. It’s lightly grilled, bringing out its sweetness and adding a subtle tang that balances the savory beef in an unexpected and delightful way. Each bite is a burst of flavors, You get the rich, hearty taste of the meat, the brightness of the pineapple, and the crisp freshness of the lettuce and tomato, all layered together in perfect harmony. The pineapple doesn’t overpower but instead enhances every other element, tying the entire burger together.
The combination of textures is just as satisfying as the flavors. The juicy beef, soft bun, and slight crunch of the veggies, with the tender pineapple in between, create a dynamic, mouthwatering experience. Every bite is loaded with taste, from the first to the last, and the flavors come together seamlessly without a single ingredient feeling out of place. Kua Aina’s pineapple burger isn’t just a meal – it’s a truly Hawaiian experience, packed with bold, unforgettable flavors that showcase why this spot has earned its iconic reputation.
