Matt is so good to deal with. He is super friendly, answers email quickly, doesn't fall behind on orders. I stopped by to check out his shop, ended up buying a stock Mamo (he has a good range of boards in stock). LOVED the board so much that I ordered 2 customs, and he made them in just 2 days so we had them in time for our flight home. They came out great, super stoked.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I bought my first surfboard from Kazuma Surf Shop, and I am forever loyal to them. Beautiful craftsmanship, custom orders in less than a week, and they are honest. Mr. Kazuma guided me through my options with the entire board spectrum, from where I surf, my body measurements, and how I wanted to ride. I highly recommend anyone from a beginner to a pro to stop in at Kazuma Surf Shop.

I was very reluctant to do this from across the ocean, but based on the videos I watched of Matt at work, I decided to give it a try and order a custom sup, something I had never considered before. I could not be more happy with how it came out, as it was exactly as I had hope for.... and could not have been more perfect if I had been there watching it being shaped. High quality work in all aspects, and it surfs great!

Matt is the equivalent to going to a (good) doctor or hairdresser; He takes into account ALL the factors and designs exactly what you need in order to achieve what you seek to experience. Great board; great service; Plus his price points are fair and reasonable. When it's time again, Kazuma will be my first and only stop. Thank you!

I cannot say Thank you enough to Kazuma Surf Factory and Matt for my new 9.6 custom made Nose rider! The whole process was a bliss starting from the first intro email to KSF to the very end with follow up after I received a board. I have had my eye on The Bar of Soap model for over a year, as my localsurf spot offers up some very refined well shaped small waves (knee tothigh) high, that are well suited for longboards. Matt was very helpfuland friendly on the phone so I decided to give it a try. I'm 71 and don'twant to go back to a longboard ( did that in the early 60's). Matt's websitesays for "small weak days ", "days too weak for a Fish" and still allows"short board performance turns". I was hopeful yet quite skeptical.Oh my gosh! Everything Matt says about it is accurate and then some.Paddles like a dream, quick out of the gate and doesn't bog. You cantrim, stand on the tail and perform. First couple of waves I was amazed.It even came with fins that Matt recommended. I have a 20 or so quiverof grovelers, daily drivers, step ups etc. This opens up a whole new realmthat I had given up hope ever finding, thinking I was perhaps delusionaltrying to overcome the laws of physics or something. I weigh 170 in a fullwetsuit and ordered a 5' 10" x 21.5" x 2.75" epoxy with a 3/8" stringer andlight glassed. Just order one!Thank you Matt for keeping me inspired.

About seven years ago Matt shaped my first Kazuma board, a 6'4x20.5x2.5 Lone Ranger, single fin, a throw back, for me, to my early days of surfing in the late sixties. Since that first Lone Ranger, and a couple more with tri or quad fins, I have had more then a few of his short boards and hybrids. All great boards, all boards that helped me become a better surfer, and helped push the limits of age and fun. For that I will be ever grateful to Matt and the folks who work there. So if your thinking about your surfing and what you want from surfing, go talk to Matt and I bet you too will be grateful and more then a little stoked.
