Pretty expensive for a thrift store, especially considering the items are donated - $15 for 1 drinking glass and $45 for an air mattress, to name a few - and the hours are weird with 9-1 on Thurs and Fri and 2-6 on Tues. I try to check here first when I need something to support the community, but it would be nice if they helped support the transient military community in return. Goodwill in town is cheaper with normal hours, and even normal stores have brand new items for less when they're on sale.

It's clean, it is awfully hot in there. They do have fans going but oh lort. It's pretty expensive for military thrift store. I coupons believe some of their prices like old navy flip flops $5. Breast pumps, and breast pump items they give away for free at other military thrift stores they charge you for here. One of the breast pumps was like $30, they had the milk bags for like 5. Even post-partum items again given away for free at other military thrifts they were charging for. Some boy not sure if he was an employees son but he was walking around on his phone not paying attention to me and bumped into me 2 times. Being 33 weeks pregnant I wasn't happy about it. Not even a sorry or an excuse me. The last time he did it I saw him walk in the back and sit down. The employee was nice, I ended going up and standing by the door, she offered me a chair and was nice to my husband at check out. Idk who's doing the pricing at this store but it's absolutely crazy. Some of the items I did price compare and at this location they were a few dollars more than a new one, or a dollar or two less. Anyway they do have some good stuff and a large variety!

Open Tues, Thurs ,Friday 9-1. Located on Ft Shafter. No ID needed to shop, but must be able to access post. From household goods to military clothing. Daily specials. Book room, toy section, baby dept. Large Premier section of NWT, and designer clothing . Not for profit, proceeds go to scholarships and community grants, mostly run by volunteers with a few paid staff, all very friendly! Good parking, no public restrooms(some nextdoor) fun place to shop with great prices!

Ladies are wonderful, lots of stuff to look through, very cool with the fans going, etc. Reminds me of "Mayberry RFD" episodes where you walk into a country store, everyone greets each other, the prices are low, you're offered lemon aide or sarsaparilla, and they watch your kids as you shop.

I used to go to the thrift shop years ago and loved it. How can a non-military civilian get on Fort Shafter to check out the thrift shop?

Lots of variety and especially great for soldiers and their families coming and going from the island and living without household goods for many months. Clean and good quality items
