The grass has improved tremendously and has been re-maintained, making it easier to play. Considering the price, this is the best public golf course.202312A public golf course run by Hawaii. Therefore, there are no facilities such as restaurants or shops. When you imagine a Japanese golf course, you will be surprised at how simple and dirty public golf courses are.201909

If you're an avid golfer looking for a delightful escape on Oahu's Ewa side, West Loch Golf Course should be on your radar. As one of the six municipal golf courses on the island, West Loch offers a pleasant and enjoyable golfing experience for players of various skill levels.Unlike its busier counterparts, this course tends to be less crowded during weekdays, allowing golfers to enjoy a more relaxed pace of play. However, if you plan to tee off on a weekend morning, securing a time slot might require a bit of effort due to its popularity among local golf enthusiasts.Once you step onto the course, you'll immediately notice the impeccable maintenance. The greens and fairways at West Loch are meticulously kept, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable playing surface. However, it's worth noting that the bunkers, a common shortcoming in municipal courses, leave much to be desired. Packed dirt dominates these areas, calling for some improvement to enhance the overall playing experience. What sets West Loch Golf Course apart is its captivating track layout. Designed with strategic elements and diverse challenges, the course manages to keep players engaged and prevent monotony from creeping in. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or a beginner, the variations offered by this layout will keep you on your toes throughout your round. While there is a small practice area available, it's unfortunately underutilized due to the inconvenient placement of the clubhouse a flight of stairs above. A better integration of the practice area and the clubhouse facilities would encourage golfers to warm up and hone their skills before diving into their rounds. In terms of difficulty, West Loch Golf Course leans towards the easier end of the spectrum. The rating and slope values for the white tees (67.8 and 119) reflect this, indicating a more manageable challenge for skilled players while providing a suitable playing field for higher handicappers.TLDR: West Loch Golf Course offers a delightful 18-hole track on Oahu's Ewa side. With its well-maintained greens and fairways, captivating track layout, and availability during weekdays, it promises an enjoyable experience for golfers seeking a relaxed round. While improvements to the bunkers and better integration of the practice area would be welcome, West Loch remains a fantastic choice for a pleasurable day on the links.

Greens were in good condition. Fairways need some work, but overall it's a fun course and inexpensive.

Municipal golf course. Nice layout, average greens. No frills, course was in decent shape. Good views, pace of play was slow due to the six um in front of us.

Greatest staff in the planet! Visiting from it out of town and unexpectedly had to drop my mother off at the nearby hospital. I had nothing with me, the crew scrounge up a set of mismatched 3wd, (2) 7i, PW, 56 wedge and a putter. Had to skip the last hole and get back to hospital but I was even par through 8! Best golf experience ever!

I've played here for over 25 years and I played there today. We had a foursome and check in is always friendly. It was a great start to New Years Eve; or so I thought! The fairways are the worst I've ever seen. I can't believe it has gotten this bad! And I had to pay $90 for the two of us! It was a waste of money. If I do have to play here again I'm guessing it will be lift, clean in place but within twenty feet of where the ball originally landed to find grass. If the city wants to turn a municipal golf course into a botanical garden then they should place it here. There will be a lot less work to do, saving tax payers plenty of money. I suggest you save your money and skip this golf course until it can return to its former glory many many years ago. I did not take bad pictures of the course. I wanted only the good pictures made the cut as I at least still have hope!

I walk my dog at this don't course. My lil doggie loves it. We ride down the bike trail and get in through a hole in the fence
