“My pup was having a hard time getting out of the car, and the staff were so awesome, brought him a towel and water to the car, then they helped me to carry his 85 lb self out of my SUV so he could get to his appointment. They also always treat us like family, theyʻre very responsive via text (which is so helpful for me), and they always have his food or medication that he needs whenever I need it. This is the easiest vet experience Iʻve ever had, and Iʻm super grateful for everyone at Waipiʻo Pet Clinic! Thank you all so much for all of your love and care for my Koa baby! :)”

After we moved we struggled a bit with finding the right vet who could help our cats. They’ve been struggling after the change, two have been fighting and one has been isolating.
Our first visit we met with a vet who suggested environment changes and setting up spaces for each cat so they could feel more comfortable. She gave us a print out as well with suggestions and tips on how to deescalate cat fights and it even had a list of suggested toys and trees! This helped a lot, we got a wheel for our Manx who has a lot of energy and she stopped fighting our male cat, the cat trees also helped our other female to have spaces and spots near my husband while he’s home who she absolutely adores. The only one who still wasn’t settling was our male.
Our second visit was to talk about our male cat specifically. We were concerned that something was happening that we couldn’t see. Pain, anxiety, or some other factor as he was pacing the house, meowing constantly, and completely inconsolable. The vet was completely on track with us, she suggested a blood panel to check for an underlying condition as well as a pain killer since he is older and is high risk for arthritic pain. We are waiting for an appointment to get the blood panel done since he needs to be sedated for it (he’s spicy but we love him), but we are very pleased with our experience so far ?
Update: the painkillers helped our boy so much and he became so much happier and cuddlier after this pain was managed.
We unfortunately had to say goodbye to him in September when he had a urinary blockage. It was an extremely hard time for me, he had been my companion for 10 years and played a huge part in my life and in the lives of others who knew him. This hospital did an amazing job being compassionate and kind during the whole process. They handled everything delicately and professionally while also being willing to work with and communicate with us on every aspect. I cannot emphasize how much this hospital has solidified a spot in our family’s heart.
Thank you guys for all you do?”
“Leeward Pet Clinic is absolutely amazing!! The staff is so caring and sweet, and Dr Gulliver is so knowledgeable. He is like a mad scientist but in the best way. He will explain everything that he is thinking and give you options that are both in the best interest of the pet and your pocketbook. Most labs and procedures can be done directly in clinic without waiting for results which in turn leads to less repetitive visits and $$$. I hope this place is around for many many years to come. Don't ever retire OK Doc :)”
“My husky “Kyra” and lil siamese cat “Yumi” love it here. Especially for their yummy treats. My girls said they wanna come back for the treats. The atmosphere is great and front desk staff are PAWMAZING.”
“All staff from Ohana Vet Hospital are exceptional! From scheduling, to pick up, to care and treatment. The way the speak about our fur babies are respectful. They truly show compassionate clinical excellence. My dog is turning 9 and have been seeing Dr. Kam and her staff for years. Even if I moved further away from their office, I still come here because the service and care are that amazing! Thank you Ohana Vet Hospital”

I was so scared that the two were related, and I had just lost my younger brother very suddenly a week earlier, and... to put it bluntly, I was a mess. I sat down in the exam room, started crying, and didn't stop. The entire conversation on my end was conducted through tears. But I was met with nothing but extraordinary kindness and compassion from the staff that helped me. They talked me through what was wrong, gave me a detailed cost breakdown of treatment and multiple options, and were incredibly patient with me even as I was beating myself up for not noticing the hot spot earlier. During the most difficult time of my life, the staff at VCA Kapolei provided much-needed compassionate care to my dog- who is now back up and making messes. My sincere thanks to all involved.”

I needed additional info when she came home and calling in to clarify treatment eased my anxiety. Forever grateful for whatever time we have her, thanks to VERC!”
“Although at times it's hard to get an appointment for unexpected reasons, the staff is super positive and supportive! I love the use of texts for reminders and follow ups.”
“VCA Waipahu is the best veterinarian clinic in Oahu. They have the BEST people that work here. Dr. Hester is friendly, knowledgeable, professional, ethical, and genuinely cares for your fur babies. Office manager Raina, the front desk staff, and clinical assistants are all very caring and work hard to accommodate your needs. Coming to this clinic is well worth it for me. They take excellent care of my three kiTs. Thank you for being in the area and for the wonderful services you provide for my family and the community.”
“They have always been amazing. Great customer service, fair prices compared to everyone else in the area (even ones that claimed to be the cheapest, but tried to charge hundreds for things we didn't need), and efficient. I already thought they were awesome, but then when it was time to move off island they were even more amazing! They helped me plan appts accordingly, and they filed my animals paperwork for the airport with individual name tabs (because I have 4 animals). It was very helpful. Thanks for everything!”
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to CPT Petersen and her team. You guys showed so much love and compassion for Dakota and made her last week comfortable.”
“I have been cropping my pits since 2000/2001 with Kokua pet clinic... Best vet and staff in the islands in my opinion... Thats the reason I always will come back!! They did my 4th pit that I owned... ???”
“I've been taking my dogs there for the past 8 yrs and loved both Dr Francis and Dr Darren, father and son duo. Dr Francis is ol school and talks to the owner directly, especially during this covid craziness. Dr. Darren will call you and let you know the updates. They are still not allowing owner and their pets in the office and you will have to call the office and they'll come out to get your pet. Their cost still remain affordable when paying cash. I enjoy the supporting staff too.”

Dr. Mudeliar provided top notch care for us. She listened to our concerns, provided us with options, and even followed up after our visit multiple times. We were nervous about how to treat Lilli and she was very patient and understanding as we weighed our options and considered the very expensive costs we needed to undertake. The ER department, including the receptionists and medical assistants, were compassionate and caring during our experience!”

It's still surreal that one day you've got a healthy active furbaby and within a week you're doing research on places that can Euthanize her with you in the room and you want her to be cremated and be able to have her ashes given back to you. Our Khloe Girl succumbed to Lymphona within 2 weeks of diagnosis. Although she has another regular vet, I wanted to make sure that if we knew it was time to Euthanize her after hours there would be a place that we can take her. I called this VCA since it was 24/7 and asked them about the process, prices etc....the front desk was patient, helpful and compassionate. I was able to "pre register" over the phone so that if I did need to bring her in at night they would have all the information. We spoiled her rotten and 2 weeks later that fateful night came and we knew it was time. They were professional and in only a few minutes they lead us into a room. They allowed us to say our final goodbyes and when we were ready there's a call button and the Dr came in to administer the 2 shots needed. Although it was devastating for us, Khloe left us peacefully with both of us there holding her and she gave us our final kisses on our face. We were called in a few days and picked up her ashes that were in an urn, a paw print and certificate of cremation. The total bill was a little steep (approx $650) since it was after hours and we choose to have only her ashes (as opposed to a mixture of remains if they cremate multiple animals this is done at another facility/company) but I knew of the cost prior and in retrospect it was 100% worth it to provide her last moments as stress-free as possible and with her family with her. The staff was helpful and caring and the Dr that performed it was professional. I really respect the staff as they must see devastated animal owners owners that need to go through this daily, I really am grateful for their compassion. Khloe Girl we love you! I know you're chasing all the sand crabs you want up on heaven;)”
