Fantastic shop with excellent attitudes. Very welcoming. They print their own stuff and care for the community. It shows. They are what a true skate shop should be. If I lived here in Kauai I'd be sure to pop in regularly.

I'm pregnant and my bf's son is having trouble with it, so I wanted to make him a gift from the baby. I contacted the shop today at 330pm to ask if they can print a design onto a polyester bag, explaining the whole situation to whomever answered the phone. I was assured that it could be sublimated and that it was a very easy job and it would cost $20. I asked what the turnaround time was, assuming it would take days. I was told it only takes "5-mins" and I could come by in the morning. The shop opens at 10am, but he asked me to come between 1030-11am, because he wouldn't be opening at 10. No problem! He asked me to email the design to him and then to text him pics of the bag, which I immediately did at 345p and 348p (see pictures). Then, I made plans with a young boy to take him out tomorrow after picking up the item, and getting him excited for his new gift, based on the rep's promises and assurances. Tonight at 9:04pm, he decides to text me that he can't do it, but doesn't provide any reason why. When I politely responded that I was disappointed, he immediately changed his mind and said he could try, giving the reasoning that he couldn't do white (white is the smallest portion of the print job I sent him). When I expressed concern about whether or not he could complete the job without ruining the very expensive bag, he responded so rudely. I was never intending on posting a review about this- I usually don't post reviews. But his last message, this late in the evening, with rudeness and blame-shifting compelled me to create this post so others don't end up in the same situation I did. Bad business owners should not be given free range to treat customers poorly because of their own personal issues. We are all dealing with stress and don't expect to project that onto others. Why should Elephit have our business when they can't give others that same courtesy? **UPDATE: Even though I asked him not to text me anymore, given it was 930pm, I received more texts at 1030pm, about why he is so happy to be a business owner. I believe the best thing about being a customer is that you can share rudeness online.

This Surf n Skate shop is a sleeper! In search of a skate gift for my son, I found the Anahola Surf n Skate. Sean, the owner, made the shirt in the style I wanted as I watched. We chatted about how he is keeping hours in order to create a more professional experience for shoppers who drive around the island to purchase skate gifts. Of course, a young man in Kaua'i who loves to skate and surf himself, may need to work on Island time ... isn't that why we all love Hawaii?? Don't miss it!
