I've been going to this salon for almost two years, and there has been a pattern of charging me additional fees not mentioned before the service. Once, I got my bangs trimmed, which was two snips, and was charged $20. Then, a blowout of $25 was never mentioned. Today, I received a partial highlight-full head. I was shocked when, at checkout, the total was $246! Even when I asked not to do a blowout. We went over the prices: $130 for the full head-understandable $30 for the extended length (that's fine, I wish it were mentioned) $15 (taken off; it was a conditioner/mask that was never mentioned) $60 (from what I interpreted, it was the complicated weaving technique. Again not mentioned). I will not write her name on here out of respect, but she argued that I won't have to worry about retouches in the future. I didn't care about projecting saving costs for my hair. I cared about being informed before being surprised. I have given this place too many chances and decided not to go there anymore. This lack of transparency is very unprofessional. Had I known these extra charges, I might have reconsidered or asked for more details. I feel deceived. For future customers, ask for ALL potential costs upfront to avoid this kind of surprise.

They aren't able to cut all kinds of hair. They weren't even apologetic about it. Just said "we don't do curly hair"... My hair isn't even curly. It's straight, I'm just African American. I got racist vibes here.

I loved the way Gloria did my hair this is before and after pictures. It is expensive but worth it. Gloria took her time made me feel special I can't say enough about her. When you first meet the person who will be doing your hair they take you to a room where you take your top off and you are given a cape so nothing gets on your clothes. This is after covid where I was not going anywhere.

I live in California and I don't have a regular stylist in Hawaii when I visit, but when I looked in the mirror this morning, I knew I needed a hair intervention. It's scary having someone you don't know color and cut your hair, but I had the great fortune of Jodi working on my hair. She is an excellent communicator. She showed me a number of hair color swatches and took the time to make sure we both knew which color was best for me. She quoted me a price before she got started so there were no billing surprises. I also greatly appreciated how kind Jodi is--I know I haven't been taking care of my hair and she never made me feel embarrassed about that. Jodi is so fun and easy to talk to, too! I went into the salon feeling like death warmed over and praying for a decent color and cut, and left feeling and looking incredible!! The color was perfect, the cut flattering, and my hair felt soft. I'm so grateful to have met Jodi today! If you don't already have a talented hair stylist you love, I highly recommend Jodi.

I will never be returning to this salon and will most definitely not be recommending my friends or family there either. I went in to the Pearl ridge location to get a long shag/modern s*** with wispy curtain bangs. I emphasized on the fact that I wanted to keep as much length as possible and didn't want any choppy layers or choppy bangs. The stylist (Debbie) did not ask for an reference pictures and barely asked any questions to clarify what I wanted so I assumed she was confident she could achieve what I asked for. When she started she said she would give me a "dry cut" and proceeded to flat iron my hair although my hair is naturally extremely straight. Normally the stylist would wash my hair prior to cutting but I didn't question anything because I assumed this is what she needed to do to achieve the hair cut I'm asking for (although I always ask for the same hair cut and always received a wash). At the end of my service she flat ironed my hair again which was unnecessary due to the fact that she already flat ironed my hair and didn't wet it at all during the cut. When my hair cut was revealed I was extremely disappointed, a lot of my length was gone and my layers and bangs were choppy but I didn't see the extent of the choppiness until I went home and had my fiancé take pictures from the back. But I remained friendly and thanked her anyways. When Debbie cashed me out I noticed the screen at the register said cut with shampoo and style but because I was feeling down about my hair cut I said nothing and just wanted to get out of there so I tipped her (because that's just who I am) and left. I left that salon with extreme regret, especially because I just paid for a $74 hair cut that I don't like and it came with incomplete services. Even though I felt this way, I decided to try to swallow the loss but I couldn't get it off of my mind so I reached out to a friend who use to do my hair when she worked at the Regis in Ala Moana before it closed down and she not only agreed that my hair cut was botched but she indeed confirmed that each hair cut service came with a wash and blow out. I called every Regis on the island to ask how much a woman's hair cut is and what the service comes with and they all confirmed it as well. After getting that confirmation my plan was to call and ask for a partial refund for the services I did not receive but when I spoke to Debbie, she was extremely defensive right off the jump, kept talking over me and proceeded to tell me that I should be grateful she flat ironed my hair because that should've been an extra charge for me. She then started going off about how it's up to the stylist if their client gets a wash and a blow out and that if I wanted that my bill would've been 100 something. First off, I didn't ask her to flat iron my hair and I was unaware she was doing a "free" service for me by doing so. Second, if you're going to do a "free" service that I didn't ask for, in place of the services I actually paid for shouldn't that be communicated to the client PAYING? I asked why that wasn't communicated to me as I don't even like flat ironing my hair, so I would've declined that service if I was asked, then she told me "That's why I told you I was doing a dry cut" which I replied "Im not a stylist nor did I go to school for this, so how am I suppose to know what that meant?". She then said "That's why we don't tell our clients anything because they don't know what we have to do to reach the goal." I think that's downright WRONG. After her continuing to talk down and over me I finally asked to speak to a manager then she told me she was the manager, so I asked to speak to another manager. The other manager Debbie L came on the line and basically defended her stylist, was rude and offered no solution. I asked to speak to a higher manager than her and she declined that as well. Unfortunately it wasn't my best experience at Regis. I usually go to the one in kapolei but they didn't have openings so I went to pearls Regis. Overall the service was rather quick I'm shook because it's usually a lot longer. My hair wash was super fast and a little lazy with it. I usually get a lil scalp massage but didn't get that. So far the cut looks nice but my hair was curled so I won't know for sure until I wash it and flat iron it. The style didn't last long an hour later my hair went completely flat.

If you have never cut a style this way you should be up front with the customers... inspiration picture shown to stylist and it came out absolutely horrible... what made it worse was she had the audacity to tell me it's $250!

Thank you Jacky for the beautiful haircut! He really took his time to understand what I want and what would look best on me. I was walking around the mall just beaming and feeling so confident afterward! They have a lot of good brand of hair care there too. The price was right and I am so happy!

Haven’t had my hair done since covid. Went in to my friends stylist for a total update and came out with a fabulous new look!So many compliments from people I don’t even know. Went back the next day to get the products she used on my hair and still got the 20% off with my hair services -even tho it was the next day.All the stylists were wearing masks so I felt very safe.Friendly atmosphere , definitely keeping my next appointment.Services: Highlights

Debbie did great job on my hair for the partial blonde highlights! She was very attentive, kind, treat my hair very gentle. I like her positive attitudes and tries her best for my requests. I would recommend her!
