After Googling for a tire repair shop, I was surprised to find Oahu Tire Service still in business and all along I thought they closed down soon after the owner (Ken) had passed away and their Mapunapuna Street shop closed up completely. But not so.
I called and asked the gentleman answering if he was the owner’s son. And yes, though he vaguely remembered me, I asked if he could repair my son’s tire that had a hex head machine screw puncture. He gave my son and I step by step instructions to see whether the screw punctured through by using soapy water dripped over the screw to see if it was leaking. And yes, it surely was, so he said to bring the vehicle in for the tire repair.
After arriving at their shop, I quickly recognised Earl and recall both his father, him and another worker used to provide 24/7 services when I used to work for the state Harbors Division. Earl mentioned that the other worker, grey haired person, was Robert’s father who worked with his father Ken. I recalled, Robert who was a very skinny person that used to do in house tire repair services while Robert’s father was the on the road tire repair service worker.
What made this experience most memorable was to see two generations fathers and sons still holding up the business. Looking into the mirror of my past experiences dealing with Oahu Tire Service, I will continue doing business with them, as they are good honest and dependable hard workers
Thank you very much Oahu Tire Service…Earl and Robert for a great and fast service in repairing my son’s 2022 Mazda 3 tire, and on a weekend too!

My girlfriend's parent's car had a nail in the tire. Earl answered the phone and was super accommodating and had them come right over. Robert helped them and was done in record time! Thank you so much, you guys are awesome!

Great customer service!!!! Came in for patch and was accommodated within a minute. Very knowledgeable and upfront,not in the business of scamming and taking your money with the instant saying of “you need a new tire and it can’t be replaced “. They actually took the time taking the tire off completely before making any assessments. Great business

My wife noticed a screw in my tire this morning and I tried calling Goodyear 3 times and no answer. I called Oahu Tire Services and they answered on the first ring. Brought my car down and got my tire fixed quickly. Service is top notch. I will keep them in mind for future tire needs

Had a metal screw stuck in one of my tires. I found this business by Googling the top rated places. This is a family-owned shop in a nice area. The shop is tidy and well-maintained. The employees in the shop and office were friendly, fast, and highly skilled! I’m so glad they came to my rescue. I would definitely recommend them for all your tired needs! Our company box truck blew out a tire yesterday just after the Halawa/H1 split and in a pinch we called Oahu Tire Service at the suggestion of the company that services our truck. Earl already new the tire we needed when I mentioned the make and model of our truck. Mind you it was 2:30pm and they close at 3:30pm but he happily came out, assessed, and took no more than 20 minutes to put on the new tire. We brought our truck today to change all 5 of the other tires. Excellent service and awesome pricing. Thank you!
