“Anna from the bakery does it again! Beautiful birthday cake and it is delicious too! Chocolate cake with fresh strawberry filling! The cake was super moist! Reasonably priced. Looks good and tastes great! I'll be back for more cakes. Make sure you see Anna!”
“Not all Foodlands are created equal. In recent years, they opened a new format, Foodland Farms, that caters to a different demographic. My friends have been shopping here since we started visiting the island annually in 1992. Things haven't changed much but the store remains well maintained with a good selection of grocery items both mainstream and local. The item that my friends enjoy the most are their local cooked foods ( and poke/seafood sections ( as you can see, their selection is pretty extensive ( During this visit, we mainly bought drinks for our room and each got a slice of the guava chiffon cake ( I was a bit disappointed with the guava cake as there was little if any guava flavor. My favorite was probably from one of the bakeries in the nowcl gone Shirokiya Dept. Store. We will continue to shop at this store on future trips. Don't forget to get a Kama'aina account and, better yet, a senior's account if you qualify to enjoy an additional discount. Next time, if I hadn't eaten a meal before coming, I'll likely rekindle more food memories by getting a plate from Gina's a few doors down.”

2155 Kalākaua Ave, Honolulu“I come here early morning before heading to work to get some items. Love the Mr. Brown Coffee. Store is pretty clean. Some items would be out of stock due to late shipment. Some shady characters outside near the Bank of Hawaii area and smoking section. The graveyard team is nice and helpful. Blonde girl with glasses (Tish) is very attentive and assisted me during check out. She was nice enough to help me pick out an umbrella during the rainy season. She showed me each one. She also had good knowledge of what was on sale every week. Overall good service by Tish !”

1173 21st Ave, Honolulu“The sign of the Times... When a supermarket is just that and not a whole complex where it's a journey and a half just to get a single item and that's the reason for this visit...well two items, a red onion and cilantro. Having a task at work it was something that I had to have an since I was in the Kahala Mall I decided on Whole Foods for convenience and was surprised of the prices and thought to go elsewhere since price was something I didn't want to compromise and was shocked to see it was no difference here as well and decided to just get it. Walking up and down the aisle since I'm here it's nice to see nothing really much has changed and though the layout and aisle is a bit narrow than the more updated places this piece of nostalgia is nice as it's well organized and clean...my onion was bad btw which was disappointing but it was my choice. Thank you!”
“Make a list and check it twice as Times has so much to offer! One thing I do love about this location is that the parking lot is large and well maintained with just steps away from the market itself so no elevators or crossing the street to access is great.I did come for something very specific and had to be in and out quick so knew that coming here is the best solution...until I browsed since I found that item so quickly that there was always something else I'm looking for and did manage to find something at a great deal omg!!Times also famously have various plate lunches daily, poke counter, even a service counter where you're able to get bus pass, HOLO card, stamps, and Western Union transaction that's a little bit of everything at daily store hours of 6am to 11pm you know it's a great pick up place.Thank you!”
“Grateful Gail's personality is 100% When they decide to invent AI cashiers, they need to replicate Gail's. I'm over 55, and I have been on the island for over 4 years I have never experienced anyone who enjoys their job and enjoys people the cashier next to her had to remind her that it was time for her to go home she was enjoying her job so much she was unaware of what the timeclock was saying we all dream of having lots of employees like this grateful and full of gratitude my goal is to always show lots of aloha here forever #bigfunglasses”
“Walmart is a great store to buy groceries at a much cheaper price than many supermarkets! Vegetables such as potatoes, onions, yams, carrots, etc.Pillsbury biscuits, cheese, saimin are items you can find cheaper! Even name brands of packaged gravy mixes: Turkey, Au jus, Brown, Chicken, etc.I always check out the Clearance section too!”
“Can't complain they had everything i need a day before Christmas. I got the last two items off each i needed. The check out people are so friendly and efficient. I was expecting slower lazier ones i deal with on the mainland but this is a good change!”

2855 E Manoa Rd, Honolulu“I recently did a pickup order through the Safeway app for St. Patrick's Day and it went so smoothly thanks to the employees of Safeway! Dee, a very sweet and happy employee called to make sure substitutions were okay for my order since they ran out of a few items. I got all the fixings to make corned beef and cabbage and juicy NY steaks! Ordered the night before and was able to get extra discounts through a special on the app. Extra $30 off my whole order! Wooho saving money. They usually sell out fast at this location especially when there are sales, so come early morning and at the beginning of the sale for best options. It's usually a hit/miss depending on the day and time I come.”
“Out of the 3 Longs Drugs in Mililani, the one by Safeway is the absolute best in customer service excellence. The staff are always available and helpful. They acknowledge and are appreciative of the customers, which is the benchmark of great management, leading by example. The manager, Kevin, caters to servicing the customers who patronize this store, unlike the other 2 locations where the management aren't usually visible to the public and the respectful appreciation of consumers by employees isn't apparent. It's obvious that consumers who shop at this Longs Drugs location are loyal, regular customers, and I'm absolutely proud to be among them. The 2 other locations are much closer to my home, but I prefer to drive to shop at this one. I recently learned that this location will be closing its doors for the last time in early December. Myself and many of my friends and family in Mililani are beyond saddened and a bit angered by the news. If CVS proceeds with the closing of this store, I personally will probably opt to do more shopping at Mililani Walmart, which has many of the same goods and service much the same as the other 2 Longs Mililani locations. Thank you to Kevin and his staff for going above and beyond to make an amazing difference in our shopping experience.”
“Located in the Koolau area, across from Valley of the Temples, this is similar to the other Times Supermarket setup. There is a small section for Japanese food and other Asian food. There is no self checkout, only regular checkout lines. Overall okay place to buy groceries.”

1330 Pali Hwy, Honolulu“Thank you to the male worker at Longs Pali today. I looked for the cool whip 2/$4.00 and couldn't find any. i asked him if Longs was already out-- and he went to look in the back. He brought out a box and handed me two. Thanks again for your help today.”
“I would like to give a round of applause to your employee (Davelyn) for her outstanding customer service. She always has a smile on her face and is always willing to go out of her way to help me find any items I need and can't find. I came in this store several times in the mornings and evenings to find items that I couldn't previously find and she never fails to ask if I needed help even if she just asked me. Tonight 02/17/2023 around noon I had come into the store and was having some trouble with the online coupon. She was kind enough to help me find the coupons and teach me for future use which I truly appreciate the help.”

1030 S King St, Honolulu“Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii... Located across from McKinley High School, this Longs Drugs Store (aka CVS on the mainland) has free parking and a drive-through pharmacy. I used my GPS and found out that there's an entrance from Young Street, too! When I entered the clean, brightly lit, air-conditioned store, I was immediately greeted in a cheerful manner! I whispered to the kind staff that I needed to use the restroom... LOL! She courteously escorted me to the employee restroom... thank you so much! I was actually in a rush to get to an appointment, so I quickly looked around at my favorite things: bunnies, snacks, greeting cards, sale items (they thoughtfully post the weekly ad) and Hello Kitty cosmetics... and drove off... I'll be back!”
“Came in to get a prescription filled and it was done in 15 minutes. I was flabbergasted because usually this takes at least a day on the mainland and the worker was so nice and efficient. I'm glad I came to this Walgreens and I'll come back again if I ever need anything”
“Shopping in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... Times Supermarket is a local grocery store chain. There are weekly ads that advertise specials - which is a big help! I personally like looking at authentic Japanese products, fresh flowers, and beautiful produce. This location also had items from the Philippines! I also saw Sanrio (Hello Kitty) cosmetics and really cute plushies! The New Years mochi and kadomatsu for good luck were available for everyone! The traditional merchandise is comforting! I like Times, but I prefer patronizing stores with loyalty programs. I'll go here if I need to... I appreciate that it's clean, well-lit, and organized!”
“It's sad that this Walmart will close down in couple days. It's convenient for people working and living around that area. I always get the items I need.”
“We have two in this district and I go to this one specifically because the employees are helpful when needed and when I have that confused look ..lol..an employee usually will ask if I need help. I shop on Sundays like clockwork and never encountered any issues since they opened.”
“Shopping in Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii... Most Hawaii residents know that the Times Supermarket chain has a fantastic produce department and carries local goods like popular snacks, candy/yarn/kukui nut lei, and ethnic groceries. This Times - located on the lower level of Aiea Shopping Center (below McDonald's and Aiea Bowl) - also has an area in the back with a Deli, sushi, and mochi station. It also has pharmacy and self-service check-out capabilities. I actually was trying to pay my auntie's electricity bill. (I was thinking that I could save a stamp...) However, personal checks are not accepted. I offered cash, but the bill needed to be linked to a phone number. I gave Customer Service auntie's home phone and cell phone, but neither number showed up. I'll have auntie call and have her bill adjusted... LOL! I ended up mailing her check to Hawaiian Electric. Haha!”
