“I’ve stayed at Prince Waikiki twice. The first time was a couple trip and because I had such a wonderful experience the second time I went back with my family. The views of the harbor and infinity pool are amazing. Even though the hotel rates are pricy but the service is top tier. I always feel that the staff takes their time to accommodate you and it makes a big difference. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are a bonus. I love the luxury touch and everything is very clean and updated. It’s definitely a 5 out of 5 in my book and I highly recommend.”

“Absolutely stunning! Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton in Honolulu, Hawaii was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that exceeded all expectations. The hotel's location is a dream, situated a few blocks away from the beautiful Waikiki beach with some amazing ocean views. The service at The Ritz-Carlton is unparalleled. The staff members are attentive, courteous, and go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels special. Whether it was the thoughtful turndown service or the personalized recommendations for local attractions, every detail was handled with care. The accommodations were luxurious and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and featured a balcony overlooking the ocean - a true paradise. The amenities were top-notch, from the spa with its relaxing treatments to the dining options showcasing Hawaii's finest cuisine. It also houses a 24/7 gym with decent machines and weights. “We had a wonderful stay and would go there again. Quality for price was great! Staff was all super friendly and professional. Great continental breakfast and valet service. Very close to the beach. Everyone made you feel welcome. Only suggestion is to add a laundry facility for guests. It was inconvenient to go to the 24 hour laundry one mile away.”

“Good rooms and value for money. The service is good. They have free parking (which is a 5 min walk) which is a big YES. There is a water filter which is very helpful. They provide beach towels too. Value for money.Walkability: 15 min for wakiki beach.”

“Very pleasant and nice staff, made us feel welcomed, and made our arrival and stay memorable. This hotel is in a prime location where everything is within walking distance. The only downside, which is out of the hotel's control, is the beach. We rented a car and ventured out where the beach was immaculate. The pool is nice and the bar service is great, thank you Jerome for the great service. We loved Hawaii and the people, and when we return we plan on staying here again!”

“I used it on my honeymoon.
When I told them when I made the reservation that I was coming for my honeymoon, they gave me a room right in the middle of the top floor!
Orchids buffet is also great. Also, it wasn't included in the plan, but maybe it's because we're on a honeymoon? I also received tickets for afternoon tea ♡
I am completely a Halekulani fan♡
Next time I go to Hawaii, I would like to stay at the sister hotel Halepuna.”

“Having traveled extensively and experienced luxurious hotels and resorts worldwide, the Hale Koa Hotel holds a special place in my heart as a home away from home for my family and me. Not only are the rooms spacious and comfortable, but the price also provides excellent value, making it an ideal choice for service members and their dependents seeking ease and comfort without the burden of overpriced accommodations in the area. Situated next to the beach, it offers an ideal location for sunbathers and water enthusiasts alike. What truly sets the Hale Koa apart is its unparalleled service. While many establishments prioritize the bottom line, the staff at Hale Koa prioritize individual comfort and satisfaction above all else. Their dedication to ensuring a memorable and enjoyable stay is evident in every interaction, making guests feel truly valued and cared for.”

“Day started off terrible (pre-arrival to the hotel). Got here and the service was amazing. Ambrose greeted us at reception and definitely gave us the best reception we have had in a long time. When we finally got up to the room, it was also quite nice. Spacious and clean with great views.”

“If you want a cute, clean with touch of retro and unique experience then this hotel is for you. I was here on business, mind you I’m here on the island at least 9 times a year. I’ve experienced the lower end all the way to high end hotels. This hotel is a gem! A touch of retro in the decoration and also the customer service as well. The rooms are a bit smaller, but they are clean and with an amazing view of Waikiki. You are away from the tourist hub, but not too far for a walk or Uber to the activity! The onsite restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is one that the locals even come to enjoy. I got an oceanfront room which is totally worth the extra spend as you feel like we were floating over the ocean. The beach makes you feel like it is your own private area and has great swimming and snorkeling. I got the valet parking for $40 a night as the parking on the street can be hit or miss, again worth it. Highly recommend.Rooms: Small like the 60’s style but very clean and with modern amenities.Food & drinks: The restaurant is great for drinks, dinner and breakfast!”

“Functional hotel close to the beach. Our room had a sea view. On the edge of the fray in Waikiki.

Walkability: Beach and shops all within walking distance.”

“Awesome hidden gem in the heart of Waikiki. The service from check in to check out was excellent. If showing up early in the morning call ahead as they may be able to have a room available upon arrival. Showed up early as the flight came in ahead of schedule. Free coffee available all day to guests. If your an avid fan of felines they have a resident cat on site that will greet you as you make your way to and from the hotel. The front desk staff are phenomenal and keep the hotel in immaculate shape. It's a 2.5 star barebones orginal Hawaiian hotel but the hospitality and cleanliness are worthy of 5. Can wait to visit again and bring the family along.

Rooms: Minimalist design. Kept to the standards of original Waikiki hotels.

Safety: Walked almost the entire Waikiki area and felt safe day and night.

Walkability: Within walking distance to all Waikiki area attractions.”

“Considering the cost of living in Hawaii, it was a good place for the price. The room was decent enough to sleep in, and it was nice to be able to rent beach towels, chairs, and a GoPro. However, the staff's service and customer response were somewhat inexperienced, which was a bit disappointing, but overall, it was a cost-effective accommodation.”

“Although it is a reasonably priced hotel, it was inconvenient that there were no water bottles in the room and only one water server at the front desk.

Rooms: It was recently renovated so it was beautiful.”

“Since last month, it has become a Hilton affiliated hotel, so I stayed there using the free weekend night benefit. The room had a good view of the ocean and Fort DeRussy Park, and the room with a kitchen was spacious and comfortable.Japanese was available at the front desk, so there was no inconvenience in communicating.Rooms: We had a great view of the ocean, and the room, bathroom, and kitchen were spacious and comfortable.Food & drinks: The pancakes and acai bowl I ordered from room service were very delicious.”

“We stayed here for a couple of nights with family and friends. The location is excellent and the staff went out of their way to make sure that our stay a great one. There was a minor complication with our booking upon arrival, but the desk agent went above and beyond to sort it out and make sure there were rooms to accommodate us. The included water bottles were a nice perk. Breakfast was very good and it was great to have breakfast on site before we started our busy day of activities on the island. The rooms were a bit small, but clean and comfortable.”

“Located not far from the CBD, there are bus stops right out the front which will take you into town or out to pearl harbour, the airport is approximately 15-20 minutes drive by taxi. The terminal itself is fairly easy to navigate. There can be long queues for taxis when cruise ship passengers disembark.”

“The staff was extremely caring and professional. The entire experience from reserving to relaxing was top notch. The staff checked on us continuously and we never were unattended. We will be back for sure.”

“Everything feels modern, clean, and fresh. Everything has a modern touch of brightness and contemporary design, which is also minimalistic. The Hawaiian theme really set this hotel above grounds, especially their on theme Starbucks. Lovely hotel, amazing atmosphere, rooms are the highlight.”

“I loved this hotel the location was amazing, has parking available(at a cost), and the staff was very helpful. The valet all had amazing attitudes and were efficient. The room I stayed in had a faulty flapper valve for the toilet that would have it occasionally continouslydrain the tank.. The pool is nice with the exception of the lack of lights.

Rooms: The rooms are cozy not huge but I didn't feel cramped by any means. The TV is very small and there isn't a microwave, but you're probably not in Hawaii to stay in your room.

Nearby activities: 5-10 minute walk to the beach.
Very close to the ala Moana mall and plenty of delicious food nearby.”

“Have had afternoon tea at Moana Surfrider many times - it's excellent there. First time at Halekulani. I found Halekulani to be even better than Moana Surfrider - and less expensive, too.”

The location is perfect, both near the beach, near buses and shops!Rooms: Room 1510 has an awesome partial ocean view! Such comfy beds and not too noisy!Nearby activities: Near the ABC Store, food trucks and buses that go around the whole island!Walkability: Perfect location, on Kalakaua and Kuhio. Close to the beach!Food & drinks: On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, they have a Meet and Greet with wine or beer, cheese and crackers and a hulu dancer and a singer (so much fun to meet the other people staying in the hotel)!Noteworthy details: Got a lovely pool!”

“This is the Gem of Waikiki. Nevermind the big corporate places with the sterile atmosphere and clearly cookie cut out staff. Equus had a friendly, helpful kind staff. From Lincoln at the front Desk, to Ben in the cafe in the mornings and Matt or Suzie at night, everyone was so Aloha. Nice to just chill and hang out in the cafe and meet locals after work heading in to grab a beer before they go home. Good times talk story with everyone. It was truly the best experience I have had staying in Waikiki and I generally don't care much for Waikiki. I'm already looking forward to staying here again.

Walkability: Close to everything. Walking distance to Ala Moana and to restaurants or late night bars. Very few of those in Waikiki weirdly. Also, jogging down Ala Wai is a treat.”

“Great people working there. Helped me out for sure. I’m not a flip flop guy so of course I got the wrong size. Went back and they went on a scavenger hunt for the same style in my size. So thank you very much.”
