Excellent school. Excellent teachers. Just finished week long course in gemstone faceting. Wonderful experience. A vacation and learning experience all in one. If you have an interest in lapidary arts look them up.

I still enjoy pieces I made at William Holland even though I never could master soldering .
The William Holland School of Lapidary Arts was founded in 1983 to allow people from all over the world to come together, study, and learn Lapidary Arts. Lapidary is the practice of shaping stone, minerals, or gemstones into decorative items such as cabochons, engraved gems, and faceted designs Each week of our season starts with check-in at 3:00 PM on Sunday. After supper and a short introduction and orientation session, students settle into their rooms, ready to begin class at 9:00 AM Monday. . By Saturday everyone wants to stay one more week and many have already made plans to join their new friends for next season. Come and rock on our porch in the northeast mountains of Georgia and enjoy the classes we offer.
