I would give zero stars to this company if it were possible. I placed an online order for a banner on May 2nd and elected to pick it up in-store. The computer told me my order would be ready for pick-up the next day by 6 PM. The following day I got an email saying my order would be delayed by one business day. On day three, when I did not receive a text message about my order being ready, I went online to chat with customer service. The agent told me my order would not be ready until May 9th. I informed her that was not acceptable because my event was on May 8th (Mothers Day), and the whole reason I ordered from Office Depot was that they were going to have my banner done the next day. The agent informed me that I would have my banner BEFORE my event on May 8th and that she would contact the store and have someone reach out with a revised pick-up date. I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE. I went by the store in Woodstock where I was supposed to pick up the banner on Saturday. They told me that my order had just come in on their system the previous night and that it was not ready. I was not a happy camper! They said if I waited twenty minutes, they would rush to print the order, and I said ok and sat down to wait. The manager came over with my banner and said, do you have a copy of the print file on your phone. I said no, and he showed me a pixelated banner. He explained that he could not open the print file attached to the order and had just used a jpeg to make the print. He said if you stand away from it, the image looks fine. Because I needed the banner, I told him I would take it, but he would have to refund $50 from the purchase price. He said I couldn't do that. I told him to keep the banner because I was not paying $90 for something that looked like that. It's unprofessional looking. Then he got mad at me because I was mad. I told him to cancel the order and that I would NEVER shop at Office Depot again. What is messed up about this whole thing is that they said we made a mistake. However, NO ONE EVER APOLOGIZED for all their screw-ups. I should have known NOT to order from Office Depot because the last time I needed printer ink, I checked online to see their ink prices. When I got to the store to purchase the ink, the price was $10 higher in the store. The guy at the counter said you have to ask to get the online price. WHO DOES THAT? This is a horrible company with horrible customer service. I will NEVER shop with them again.
