“Village Shoppes of East Cherokee is a shopping strip located at the cross road of E Cherokee Street and Old highway 5 or Main Street (depending on what side of town you're coming from.) If you stay on old highway 5 it will run into Bells Ferry Road and that'll take you on up to city of Canton. Taking E Cherokee Street can get you on out to Cumming, Alpharetta and its the scenic route to Buford highway out in Doraville The road in front of the shopping center for almost a year has been on an ongoing expansion with lots of hiccups along the way. Starting around 3:30pm on the weekdays Old Highway 5 and E Cherokee Street traffic begins to pile up until about 6:30pm. So if you want to shop in the area-I suggest you do it before 3pm. (On Fridays it's a parking lot. I know its sorta out in the middle of nowhere but you be surprised by how jammed up traffic can get....out in the middle of nowhere.)
