Manager was uninterested in helping us and seemed bothered by our presence. I didn’t love the way he spoke to his staff, and they had a limited supply/ selection.Bummed because this is the place we have been coming for 5 years to get our fish so naturally when our tank broke we wanted to give our business to them for a new one and some more fish. Something has definitely changed in there.

Horrible customer service. Was asked if I needed help, said yes, then the guy walked away and continued to talk to another customer. Stood there for another 5 plus minutes, ignored. So we left. Not sure I'd return if that's how I have to purchase something

The fish selection is poor and the store does not seem clean. They hardly ever have any saltwater fish in stock and the reef tanks are not much better. The dry goods stock is poor and they are always out of something. The store is hot and stuffy and the service is hit or miss. They have taken my name several times to notify me of when a certain item comes into stock, but never call. Skip this place and take a trip to Pure Reef in Alpharetta for saltwater and you will not regret it - it is leaps and bounds above this place. Sad that this place is not better maintained and stocked because it would be nice to have some place nice in the Woodstock area. A lot of room for improvement which I hope happens, but sadly, it has been this way a long time.

I went there the other day to get a cat harness. Their website said they carried them. Walked in and was bowled over by ammonia. It was horrible! I asked where the cat harnesses were. He showed me one small display in the back corner of what looked like nothing but dog toys and supplies and said, “It looks like we don’t have any right now.” The display was only about half full. They look like they are primarily a reptile/fish store. I won’t be back.

They don't have a huge section for reptiles and I wish they opened a little earlier, but they do sell BSFL and different things for geckos, which I like

I just started a fish tank. Phil is wonderful. He helped me with my aqua scape and gave me good advice on what I need for a healthy aquarium. It feels so much more personal than a big box store. Let’s support smaller businesses!!

I went in looking for a tortoise to have as my classroom pet. They had one that seems to be adjusting well. They are knowledgeable and seem to actually care about the animals they have there. My experience was a good one. It’s not a huge store so the selection may not be as great as a big box store but their prices for what I needed were reasonable. Worth the drive to check it out.

very knowledgeable staff, great supply of reptile needs. it’s minutes from my home and i’m able to pick up feeder insects without problems. reasonably priced and they have a reward punch card for cricket purchases! love this place. even though my needs are mostly for reptiles, they seem to have the aquarium and aquatics section on point for sure. you’ve got my business as a loyal customer!

Live plants and fish selection is sparse. For example, Cardinal tetras looked starved, too young to be sold, and too weak to swim. Very limited community fish selection (what I was looking for). Plant tank is extremely limited in selection and what was there were in melting mode or had a couple of stems per clump (=not getting money's worth). Definitely looks like they need CO2 injection to support or beef up the few plants that were there. Plant Display tank (not for sale tank) of plants looked amazing, so obviously they have the knowledge but not the drive to tranfer their knowledge. A young lady asked if I needed help, I asked her a question, she wasn't sure how to answer, she asked the "higher up guy" (assuming manager but I didn't confirm), his answer was dismissive; therefore, HE lost me as a customer. I've been to this store sporadically for many years. The issue is that they can't seem to maintain the fish section, which was top of the line about 10 yrs ago, and looks about to shut down. I felt like I wasn't worth "the guy's" time. IF he would have had more dialog and a conversation with me, he would have realized that I'm not a novice fish/pet keeper. I have a Bachelors degree in Limnology, so freshwater systems sre my expertise. He could have won me back as a customer and more. I live in Canton and have been making the hour drive 1 way to Atlanta Aquatics where the stock is healthy and plentiful, and the owners show care and compassion to all customers who enter their store. I am willing to drive the 2 hours to receive respect and friendship like service that they provide. It saddens me that my LFS is unwilling to make meaningful connections with customers. The irritated, dismissive and judgmental look I got from him was unpleasant. The young lady was super sweet and wanted to help. Upper management needs to learn from her. This store could be thriving if they would connect with the community around them and with the customers that come in. They could easily beat Petsmart (close neighbor) if they prioritize 2 things: 1. Better customer service 2. Offer novel, unique, and high end live fish stocks that Petsmart can't offer. Technology, equipment, non-perishable is easy to get online or from big box stores. A "grade A" HEALTHY stock of unusual/rare/"special" fish AND providing educational seminars on a variety of fishkeeping topics would be a smart and innovative way to stand out and beat box stores.Connect with the community! The "I know it all" attitude and rolling eyes and shaking heads won't drive customers in.This store use to be so enjoyable to visit! I use to get 90% of my fish from here, but willing continue to drive the 2 hours to Atlanta Aquatics because they recognize me with having visited only 3 times so far. They clearly care about the hobby and their customers. Of the 3 times I've made the trek to their store, I have spent well over $200 during each visit.

Didn't have the litter I needed, but looks like a great place to go if you have fish, amphibians, or reptiles.
