They pulled the "bait and switch' tactic on me not once - but TWICE!
Here are the facts:
CarBuyerUSA originally offered me $20,400 for my 2019 Chevy Equinox Premiere.
For the 2 weeks prior to my delivering the vehicle, Dax called and texted me every few day, checking in if I still wanted the offer. I assured him I did, I was in the process of purchasing a vehicle and when that was lined up, we could make the deal. I repeatedly asked if the tow bar (so it can be towed behind an RV) on the front of the car was acceptable. Dax assured me it was. A $500 upgrade.
18 hours prior to our agreement that I would deliver the vehicles to the auction house in Billings, Montana, where my new vehicle would be delivered, I was suddenly transferred to Jackson Watts, who said the offer was now $18,500. Jackson stated that there were scuff marks on the tire rims (there aren't), a few dings on the rear bumper (there are and Dax and team knew about that for the previous 2 weeks and still offered me the original amount) and that the front bumper is out of alignment (it's not). Because this was still the best offer I had and they had me in a corner due to the new vehicle being delivered, I agreed to the lower deal. Jackson assured me that if the car is as advertised in the photos I sent, the deal would stay at $18,500.
I delivered the car to the auction house. It took the auction house from Labor Day Saturday to the following Monday (5 working days) to inspect the car.
Jackson called me and said the deal is now $17,000 - even though they knew about the issues via my photos. He also stated the tow bar had to be removed and the entire from bumper replaced.
When I called other online car buyers to get a better deal, I discovered my car was for sale (with the tow bar intact) online even though I had NOT sold it to them yet. This must be illegal!
Finally, a manager agreed to $17,500 and since I was 4 hours away in my RV (no home) and didn't have a better deal, and I had a new vehicle to deal with - I grudgingly took it.
Lisa, who does CarBuyerUSA financials, somehow found an address not associated with me to mail my check to. Luckily, she was able to catch the mail before it went out. That was a week ago and I still have not received the check, although the bank loan has been paid off.
CANNOT RECOMMEND!!!
I feel very victimized. I don't know how these people sleep at night using these tactics.

I had a great experience. Picked up my 2022 Civic for inspection, signed contacts, paid off loan, balance into my bank. I’ve never sold a car like this before so I was a little nervous about the process but everything went great. 5 stars for sure

They are honest and trustworthy.
I was somewhat disappointed when I originally was offered 16,100
& they offered me 14,000.
Their funding management tried explaining why with in my opinion nonsense but I countered & we came to an agreement.
The money was deposited into my account no issues at all. I recommend them just double check their offer with their competitors.

* See my UPDATE below to their reply. Sellers beware!
Based on some other Google reviews, I was a little wary, but saw enough goods ones to include Car Buyer USA. So I did send all the car photos requested, as well as, of the title thinking their process much more detailed and therefore likely more fair? Not only was the offer far under their initial email offer, I was insulted by being told I stated much less miles than actual. Why would I? I wouldn't, and I didn't. And I screenshot everything. Fortunately many other businesses offer this service. CarBuyerUSA, don't call potential clients liars when they are not. It's not good business.
UPDATE TO CARBUYERUSA reply: Way to victimize. As noted in my original review, a reason I liked your process was the detail. Photos of all 4 sides, all 4 corners, the vehicle title... and the odometer while car running. I screenshot everything. No error in entering the 220,220 mileage. You also had the required odometer reading while vehicle running evidence. By the way, I sold BMW and Volvo for the Rick Hendrick organization for 20 years. I am well aware the two things that impact a vehicle's value is time/age and mileage. Don't believe their polite and completely misleading comment.

This was a seamless experience. Seems a bit shady when looking at the website but once they call and take you through the process it's all very easy and legit. They did reduce the final price of the car but it seemed pretty fair after discussion with them. I'd use them again as their price was still better than every brick and mortar dealership.

This is a joke! I was given an apraisal over the phone and was told it will take a day to inspect. I drove an hour away to their place. Ones my car was left on their lot no one contacted for 2 days.. after calling Around asking what was going on it took another 3 days to inspect. their offer was no where close to what they said over the phone. Don’t waste your time just go to Carmax 20 min they offer more..

After shopping around, these guys offered the most money. The process was easy and straight forward, the emails give you clear instructions. Would sell to them again, no hassle.

Thank you Car Buyers! I had the process wrapped up in less than a week. Dax kept me up to date on the process and time frames (which were accurate) and Erika in finance wasted no time sending the funds. Lola, my car, is getting the love and care she needed and hoping the new owner loves her as much as I do ❤️

Spoke with James and Jackson. NOT AN HONEST BUSINESS. James gave me a price that needed to be finalized by the inspection, but assured me that it was not based on cosmetic issues. After driving an hour for the inspection and waiting two days for it to be finalized, Jackson then offered $1,300 less than initially quoted for. The reason was due to "paint chipping under the vehicle" which was bought new two years ago. Waste of time, effort, gas and tolls. Dishonest business practices and people. Would not recommend.
