Angela lied to me and said her card machine was broken when it wasn’t after she asked me 100 questions about my account when I was just there to get a card , gave me racist Vibes .

DO NOT BANK WITH THESE PEOPLE! They DO NOT care about their customers at all. They'll make thousands of dollar mistakes and brush it off its nothing. Was told they can't promise me that they won't make thousands of dollar mistakes again. HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO KEEP MY MONEY HERE IF I CAN'T EVEN TRUST THEM! WORST BANK EVER!

I used to bank with CB&T before it became South State. I closed an account with another institution and thought I would take advantage of South State’s $200 checking bonus offer. That was a huge mistake. Setting up the account online was nearly impossible, I still haven’t received my debit card after two weeks, and management appears to be incompetent and disinterested. Even the sweet manager in Jefferson, who actually cared, couldn’t offer me a box of free checks. I think I didn’t enroll in the right “magical” account for the checks. Who pays for checks anymore? Capital one sent checks immediately, along with a $400 checking bonus. Have I said the word CHECKS enough?It looks like I will stick to banking with the online banks and using Cash App. I am pretty sure the bad reviews are all legitimate for SSB. I will be amazed if I actually receive the EARN200 bonus. I will also do the right thing and remove this post if South State steps up their game. The culture needs to change badly.

I started banking here when it was called community bank and trust many many years ago. I never had one complaint up until about a year ago. Now I have nothing but complaints. Worse bank ever!

Very slow service, been banking with community and now south state since 2007 and never had issues only to be questioned when I deposited a check from someone for a larger sum, told it was because of fraud. Complete bs just to hassle me. Went to a different branch and had no issues. Highly recommend avoiding this branch.

inept, slow service. Their debit cards always have chip problems and it takes 2-3 weeks to get another one, things that should be able to be done online like other banks they make you come to a branch for, simple issues take forever to get resolved. They're in the dark ages of bank operations

The wait times at South State drive thru in Winder,Ga. is awful. I have currently been sitting in line for 20 minutes. I understand with the virus and all going on,that things have changed, but this is ridiculious. I enjoy banking with South State, , but not having to wait in lines this long to complete a tranaction. Maybe need more tellers.
