What started as routine yearly visits for both dogs ended up with extra visits for the older one, who unfortunately was diagnosed with cancer and put down. Throughout the process of getting a diagnosis, they were thorough and compassionate. I have been to other vets where I felt “further testing” for health issues became casting a wide net and costly but Winder Animal Hospital was targeted and had a diagnosis quickly and efficiently that did not leave me choosing between finances and getting my questions answered. When we had to put my dog down, they were compassionate and so helpful. I was walked through the whole process, given time to say my goodbyes, and the entire staff expressed their condolences. I worked with Dr. Theos and Dr. Duffy throughout the process. Please consider making them your vet if you are looking for one. You will not regret it.

20 Monroe Hwy, WinderWinders Corner Animal Clinic is an excellent place to take your fur babies to get their check ups and when they are sick! I love Dr. Katie Samples!! She is very personable and you can tell she loves the pets!! The techs are wonderful as well. Even the front desk staff are super friendly!!

The Paws Resort
661 Tucker Rd, WinderThe people over at The Paws Resort are the sweetest, most caring, animal loving people on the planet. Also very patient! LOL! My dog Jasper will play fetch 24/7 and they will provide him that care ALL day! It's amazing to watch him on the cameras during daycare and have the peace in mind knowing that he's safe and having a BLAST! We boarded him for 2 weeks when we went out of the country and he loved every minute of it. Watching him on the cameras everyday and getting his report cards back will all his cute pictures (especially the St. Patricks Day one) was such a treat! We will be taking him to daycare for now on at least 1-2 times a week! And next time we go out of town, we will know he will be just fine at daycare. It's like his own vacation away from home! Thank you so much for taking care of our sweet boy!

Desperate Dogs
653 Gainesville Hwy, WinderAmazing relationship based luxury dog boarding facility. To call it a boarding facility does not do it justice. They have very few but large (6×6 maybe) crates used at the dog or owner preference. Otherwise, when the dogs, broken down into similar temperament packs, aren't outside in one of the multiple acre fenced segments or obstacle course playing, they are inside. Inside, they remain in large rooms with their pack lounging on chairs and couches. To top it off, they make fresh food daily with fresh meat, vegetables, and fruit. Thank you, Kristen, for working hard to integrate our puppy into the pack.

The food was well priced for the value and while I wish the egg rolls tasted more fresh and less like they grabbed it from the freezer and fried it, the main dishes were good. The staff were kind and the restaurant was clean. I'd like to give some feedback to the ambience, though. I really wish there weren't tv screens everywhere I turned. I personally find it distracting and honestly, some of what was playing was disturbing. I shouldn't have to see negative news reports and random shows while trying to enjoy a dinner with my family. I get having tv's in a bar area (which they had) but don't understand why they have to be on every wall of the restaurant. Also, the decor does not match the menu or cuisine. I feel like paint and decor changes could really take this from a 3/10 atmosphere to a 10/10.
