Impersonal, disorganized, staff on personal phones while lines for the kiosks check in became a crowd and as people had obvious technical difficulties with the automated check in system. Seems to be a study in how to make patients feel like a number if not an annoyance.Making an appointment hasn't improved the experience. That simply put me into the same line as walk ins.Going to the customer counter, not asking to skip the line but to ask for intervention to help those in front of me and suggesting that they offer to check people in, resulted in an eye roll, asking for my ID and insurance, and telling me I would then have to wait for someone to call me to another desk and an explanation that it would take even longer. After a significantly worse issue in the ER last year and follow up with customer service resulted in a rehearsed explanation and blaming the newly hired hourly employee, it seems as though there is an executive level issue with how the organization is run. This is further amplified by the responses in comments by the hospital here in these reviews as well as comments from staff nurses. Piedmont executives may want to consider engaging staff in how to improve their environment so they are able to project the intended culture and level of care.

I avoid this place at all costs. Every single visit they give me trouble about my insurance. I only use Piedmont due to transplant needs and no other facility has the issues this one has. When you ask for help, they are rude. Checking in and waiting over an hour, and when you ask for an update they will stick their hand up and say wait. They let me sit there sick for over an hour and never even pulled the right lab orders. When I gave them thirty more mins to call me, they said “you’re not due for labs until April” without even talking to me. They pulled my name off the list because they had pulled the wrong order. They make you check in at a kiosk and then they will still pull you to the desk or the room to have you do it all over again. I have watched them have elderly people struggle with the machines for a long time with no assistance. I will drive far and wide to get labs done anywhere else. This lab is run so poorly. However the phlebotomists are always respectful.

I've been here several times, and they are professional and kind. The check-in process is streamlined, and they get me in and out in a very timely manner.

I’m giving a three bc the lab technician was very competent and kind, Otherwise I would rate lower. I had an appointment for a year, checked in online, arrived 15 minutes early but still had to wait over 45 minutes for a one-two minute blood sample. The lady at the front desk told me to check in on the kiosk which I did, but it indicated I had no appointments eligible for checkin. So Back to the front desk who asked my name this time then informed me I was checked in. Seems like that could have been done at the beginning-kiosk is a joke!!!Waited while everyone who was there when I arrived and at least a half dozen who arrived after me were called back, then went to the desk again. She said she would send a note back to the lab. After another 15 minutes or so and after several others were called, I was finally called back. I Was told the lab work was done in the order of the printed out paperwork so I feel I was intentionally skipped, looked over, put aside… Very disappointed in how this went down and feel there could be more efficiency and a better follow up when clearly several people were seen while I was left waiting well after my appointment time. Again, my appointment had been scheduled for a year, yet I was treated like an interruption rather than a patient.

I am always in and out quick, they're very efficient and friendly. I've never had a problem and I've been here multiple times and have never had one painful draw here even though my veins are deep and hard to find.

Just experienced gross incompetence at the lab. They didn't follow the orders in the system and when my son pointed out to them that one tube of blood didn't seem like enough for all the tests. They told him that they only had one label printed so he was done. When I went back to question them, Angela went to check and called my son back in to complete the tests that were ordered. No apology for him having to get stuck agagin with a needle or causing a delay in his medical care. When I expressed my concern, she raised her voice and told me everyone makes mistakes. So -- bad enough not knowing what tests they are supposed to do and checking the lables against the orders, worse that they didn't listen or act on a patient concern about his tests, and topped off by being unable to apologize for a mistake and being rude while being defensive and offensive.
