Unfortunately I had the need of an emergency c section several months ago. The care and staff were excellent. Babies and mom were well cared for and lively and active. Thank goodness for this clinic!

First time using any emergency vet and Middle Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center was the best! I appreciated that they went over the costs before treatment (though, as most puppy parents you will pay whatever). All of the staff members were super sweet. My invoice shows tech Lisa L, Tech Renee D and Exam fee Arhonda Harris, DVM. So thankful for an office open over the weekend!

We evacuated to Georgia from Florida for Hurricane Milton and unfortunately my dog became sick while we were here. Having a sick pet is stressful enough, and being away from home with so many uncertainties only added to that. I am extremely grateful to the wonderful people at this location. They were all so kind and helpful, and Dr. Collins was very thorough and patient in answering our questions. Veterinary staff are literal angels who deserve 1000000% more praise, thanks, and recognition than they typically get, and this location is certainly no exception. It was impressive to see them handling pets and their people in such a professional and caring manner.

Stay far away! They are happy to euthanize puppies without a proper diagnosis. Rude to clients and dishonest!! if you love your fur babies, don't step foot in this place.

We have had the unfortunate need for emergency veterinary care several times for our medically complex dog. She is under the care of Auburn University Internal Medicine, and her emergencies always seem to happen in the weekend. The staff and veterinarians are always kind and compassionate. I recognize that emergency care is expensive so I never complain about the cost. There are options for third party financing. I do have a few suggestions, though: why did you get new lobby chairs? They are awful. And, each time I’ve been here I’ve seen someone leave with a deceased pet in a bag. I highly recommend a separate door for these folks to leave from.

We made the hard decision to visit Mid GA Vet on a Saturday as our pup, Oliver, turned for the worse quicker than we anticipated and we did not want to risk him suffering on our behalf until our vet opened on Monday. We were nervous as we had never visited anyone other than our usual vet, especially as it would be his last day with us.
Mid GA Vet was a blessing, from being able to text them Friday night to let them know we were coming Sat morning (and getting us entered into the computer beforehand), to the front desk staff, Vet Tech Lisa L and Dr Kendall. You all were exceptional on our worst day and showed us kindness and compassion. I don't know how you do it, but God bless you all.
The setup of the private sitting room with the doorbell to signal when you are ready was very nice. There was no rush, there was no feeling that they needed to get to the next patient. You were left to say your goodbyes and give all the hugs and kisses that you can.
That day was awful, but it was what was right, and it was the compassionate course of action for our loving pup of 14 years. I'm sorry that you never got to meet Oliver during his good days, but thank you so much for taking care of him and his parents on his last day.

Excellent experience here. Fees were very reasonable & the staff was most knowledgeable and caring. Beautiful clean facility that still looks new. I would recommend them to anyone looking for after hours or weekend care when in need of a veterinarian.

Our beloved dog was diagnosed with a terminal illness and we knew her time was limited. On Friday night of Labor Day weekend, her condition worsened, and we realized it was time to say goodbye. From the moment we arrived, every person we encountered—the receptionist, the technicians, and the vet—was incredibly kind and compassionate. We never felt rushed or like a burden, and we were given all the time we needed to say goodbye to our baby. Although it was one of the hardest moments we've faced, their care and support provided us with great comfort. We are extremely grateful for the exceptional care they provided to us and our sweet girl.

I have had to take a couple of my pets out here. I have realized that each time the treatment costs are always close to $2000. With the initial treatment deposit usually being around $500. This last time, which was late Friday night into the early morning hours of Saturday I took my dog in with suspected poisoning. For her to even begin to be treated I was told the deposit was $540. After paying this I was told they would be in touch. When I was contacted by the physician, in what I thought would be an update as to my dog's condition, the first thing that was spoken about wasn't her condition at all it was that they would be in touch soon with an updated estimate on treatment cost. I was completely floored by this, well, that is until I received the updated estimate which was close to $2000. Now don't get me wrong, I completely understand that this is an emergency vet and the fees are going to be alittle higher than normal business hours, but have some common decency to the lower income families that don't just have that kinda money laying around and have to use bill/rent money in order to take care of the pets needs. I mean they didn't seem to care at all about my dog's well being as much as they did about money for treatment. When I picked her up Saturday morning to take her to my vet who was open, they made me sign an against medical advice form and told me that I had a Balance of $4.56 left before they would bring here out to me. I mean really??? When I get to my vet, i asked if there would be a deposit needed, they simply stated if you can leave one, but if not it's completely ok. I was able to leave a small one and knew that no matter what my baby would be in good hands and taken care of.
I wouldn't recommend this Er vet for anyone who loves their animals and wants them cared for by folks who actually care about the animals and NOT how much money they can get someone to pay. They should be ashamed of their not so ethical practices because playing on people's emotions and wallets are wrong in so many ways.

I will be honest I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews. They are emergency vets and yes it is going to be expensive. I am thankful to the staff for everything they did for Shark Dog and for being open on the 4th of July and having the Parvo antibodies. I was able to get updates, and communication was excellent.I would not hesitate to use them again. I hope we don't since they are emergent but have recommended them. And Shark Dog has since made a full recovery!

They were thorough with the diagnosis and explaining the after care. Patient and extremely kind. Thank you Jamie, Lisa, and Kristen for taking care of our fur baby!

Overall they did well. I would compare it to seeing an ER for an uninsured human for those talking about price. It was just that, an emergency situation where it was after hours and our vet was closed so of course working in the night at odd hours would cost more. I felt they seemed well organized and I felt like my girl was in good hands. I appreciated the updates in the text letting me know what was going on and what was needed next.

So beyond grateful for the compassion shown by the team here. We brought our pitbull (Tank) in, unfortunately thinking he would need to be put down, and instead of them just doing it and making easy money, they worked with us to be able to keep our dog alive. He isn't out of the woods yet, has gotten a little sicker since yesterday but we are hopeful. Thank you for helping us.
