Big thumbs down for customer service, and shady about cancellation policies despite asking the front desk *several* times about the process trying to get clarity about it because I was moving out of state soon. Most of them just deferred saying they didn't know. Then they handed me an extremely tiny piece of paper with an email address on and no other information. The last time I asked, the guy at the front desk literally said "I'm not supposed to tell you this, but.. they'll make you pay for the month if you don't cancel 30 days in advance"Not supposed to tell me?! Why are big gyms so shady about cancelling? They have Plenty of customers (the gym is always packed if you want to go after work).Be better business people for the community. Be transparent and be human.Support a smaller, non-franchised place, you'll get better customer service and likely less sketchy business practices.

DO NOT GO TO MAX FITNESS!! If I could give max fitness 0 stars for the customer service I WOULD!! I signed up online and payed around $50 for the first month and then $25 for each month afterwards. That same day I went inside to get my fitness card. The front desk gave me paperwork to fill out which I was confused about because I had already payed for the membership online so why would I need to sign anything. I was asked by one of the workers how old I was and I was 17 at the time in which I informed him I was. He then proceeded to allow me to sign whatever paperwork they gave me. I was a minor at the time and I was not acknowledged about any age restriction of any sort since they gave me papers to sign without written parent consent. I was a 17 year old working a minimum wage job and also paying bills. I had tried to cancel my membership through email because they would not stop bugging me about paying each month. They then added an annual fee onto one of the monthly payments and it was close to $80. I emailed and they responded so unprofessionally. They told me that I could not cancel the membership. I can see from some of the reviews that I am not the only one with this experience through email. They then put me in collections for over $425 because I was financially struggling to pay them for the months that I did NOT EVEN ATTEND THE GYM! This has gone too far and they will next meet me in court soon. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING FROM THEM!! They lack communication and will trick you into signing the contract. They will steal your money.!!!!

I’ve had a membership with this gym for almost 4 years. I have zero complaints. Anytime I had any questions, manager John did not hesitate to help me with a smile. He is very courteous and does an excellent job. This is a great business.

After a month outside, the country, i have reasons to cancel my one year membership. The cancelation will be after completing the year I signed for. Also, I am informing them within the three months required on the contract. I went in person to the gym to ask how to cancel. I was handed a small piece of paper with the email. Not profesional at all. Strange because to sign a contract, everybody is there, in person, but not to cancel???I sent the email and was shocked receiving the answer requesting proof !! of my reason for canceling. We don't live in Communist Russia to justify what, when, why we do things. This is USA. Cancelation of a commercial contract is made by completing the contract and informing them within the agreed time. Even the reason "because i want to" is enough. The email is not signed by anyone, so I haven't idea who is behind the email. Do they do that to avoid responsibility?I wish I had read the reviews before signing a contract with them. Someone sent them medical proof!! and even after that the membership wasn't cancelled. Medical record is personal information that they haven't right to know.Warner Robins is a military town where people come and goes and those orders are confidential.Other review says member hasn't sent the "correct documentation" correct? So members have to justify their action as a one year old child? Again, Communist Russia?I am really disappointed with the customer service and their response to my request.

Good place to work out, and very convenient, but they need more bench seating so patrons don't have to sit on the equipment for 5 minutes looking at their phones between their 30-second exercises.

Been going here for about 6 months. The price is incredible, the staff is amazing, and the equipment is great. It’s wonderful having the child care option available. I’d like to give special recognition to one of their trainers, Brent. I watched him save a man’s life, after finding him passed out in the sauna. He pulled him out and provided immediate care while having another member call 911. The EMT said that had the man been there another 5 minutes they would have been too late to save him. With that kind of amazing care and professionalism, I feel safe highly recommending Max Fitness to anyone.

So I tried to cancel and they refuse to cancel. I became sick and said I will make payments but need you to cancel but refuse to work with me. They said they will send to collections. I said ok, since you won't work with me that is fine. Then they proceeded to call me rude and act like I didn't want to work with them. So I told them, I was sick and can't do what you want so what were you expecting? Don't call me rude. If you would like to challenge this review though, max fitness, I will post the emails showing I tried but you were the ones not letting it happen and not working with us. Every email. Including the email I had lots of people read saying it wasn't rude it was allowing you to do what you thought was needed and not fighting. So, you made this about me being rude, I make this about you not wanting to let people cancel when they become ill.

Great facilities and customer service UNTIL YOU NEED TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP. We’re a military family who were re-stationed to another state and needed to cancel our membership. Two months later and Max Fitness still refusing to refund the two months we were over-charged. Very unfortunate because I doubt the owner (very great individual) knows how his billing department is treating his customers.

Pool heater has been down since July 2, 2023. Made phones calls and sent emails, I have not received a response on the pool heater issue. I will NOT be renewing my membership or recommend this business to family or friends. I would give them a higher rating but due to lack of response from management I gave them 1 star. Once they have you in a contract, they don't care to return phone calls or emails.

Fantastic Place. Very Clean. The employees are always nice and helpful. Especially Ara who is the Group Fitness Classes Instructor. Ara is amazing group fitness instructor and will help you to feel better physically. Thus, the group classes are great and I believe are part of your membership.Plenty of exercise equipment. Sometimes Max Fitness is busy probably because people like this place. We love it. The plans are reasonably priced. Pool is clean and water is always nice.Thank you Max Fitness for being a great place! A+

Not a fan of max fitness tbh. I was on their personal training plan and was Unhappy the entire time. My 1st pt would constantly cancel on me. one time he canceled on me to take his girlfriend to savanna... eventually he dropped me as a client because he was leaving. he didn't get me set up with anyone else. I had to go in an talk to the front to help me pair with a new pt. The new pt was so much better but same thing just unconsistant thank God i was moving soon so I could cancel I would not recommend personal training. The gym is over crowded with teens only thing enjoyed was the classes.

Exceptional customer service! Avree Dean and Kaleb Warren took the time to resolve an unexpected issue I was having with my account. They were kind, patient, understanding and very professional. I would definitely recommend communicating with them if you ever face any account issues. Thanks Avree and Kaleb!

gym is clean. equipment well maintained. both positive I go 4 days a week and have had one employee say hi. negative. I do a circuit workout which means I move quickly from station to station. largest complaint is people occupying equipment who are just sitting there and using their cell phones. staff does not say anything to these people although they will often sit there for 5-10 minutes resting. they need to enforce their cell phone policy.if they'd do that I'd give them a 4+.

The gym is very busy, but tons of cardio equipment, large pool, sauna, tanning beds, multiple squat racks, deadlifting platforms, bench's, plenty of machines, they have it all. I avoid peak times, but even when there were a lot of cars, there was still plenty of availability.

I loved it. It was very open and spacious. I felt comfortable and safe as well. Theyre very welcoming, and it's very clean and well kept
