My experience was embarrassing, insulting, time consuming, costly and completely unnecessary.
My husband had a total knee replacement with complications. He was prescribed pain medication by his orthopedic surgeon whom directly called his prescription to the Publix Pharmacy in Villa Rica. In the past he has used Publix and always had a good experience. The medication was ordered late on Friday and I went to pick it up on Saturday afternoon. I am not sure of the pharmacist name but she was rude with a nasty attitude refusing to fill it. She stated it looked suspicious that his surgeon was in Lawrenceville and we wanted it filled there instead. We live on the Alabama/Georgia state line and the closest Publix Pharmacy to our home is in Villa Rica which is two hours closer to us than the Publix in Lawrenceville. Walmart in Bremen is the only one closer that carries this medication but they wouldn’t take goodrx so for economical reasons we chose to drive to Villa Rica. Now keep in mind that his medications are all prescribed by the same physician, there is no prior history of receiving pain meds prior to his surgery and his physicians office specifically ordered it to that pharmacy. She continued to be rude making loud comments alluding that I may be committing criminal activity. Now this is a Saturday afternoon and the physicians office is closed until Monday. I explained to her how they were our closest Publix pharmacy, the geographical location of our home, his medical history but she continued treating me as if I was in the commission of a crime informing me this was her pharmacy and she chose what prescriptions were filled there. When I left I told my husband what happened and he called the Publix Pharmacy in Douglasville explaining the situation to the pharmacist there. He was extremely helpful and had it transferred to his location and filled with no issues. I will never step foot in the Villa Rica Publix again.

Ive never had any of the problems everyone else seems to have. Ive had them take care of issues over the phone and in person. Their fill time seems the same as most places ive been to. They dont have alot of room back there so that could be the cause of some of the problems. I think most people just look for things to complain about, and when the find it they let the world know.

I was at the pharmacy on Sunday may 5 to pick up my prescriptions. Asked the tech to swap my script from 90 days to 30 day refill. With a attitude he rolled his eyes. Proceeded to show him my good rx gold membership, Richard the pharmacy tech said we don't take that. I said yes you do always have before. Then Richard said you got good rx on file I can use that. I said no this is the gold one I pay extra for. He typed the number in said it would be 18.86 I said it shows 11.61 he said I don't know what to tell you. I said why not the 11.61 price Richard said I don't know. He gave me the other prescription for good rx gold price but not the other one. Richard rang it up for higher price and didn't care to ask to fix it. He needs to get customer service skills or find a new job. Highly disrespectful. Left made and wanted to say alot to him but walked away paying higher price for jo reason. Very disrespectful and mad

Ive been a customer of this pharmacy for 8 years and they just lost my business. 4 times in a row Doc has sent meds over to be filled for my husband or myself and it showed as "in progress ' for multiple days. They would only fill it after either my husband or I would call to request it even though it was already in their computer to be filled. This last time they only gave my husband a month supply and it was supposed to be a 90 day supply. The staff was super rude when we asked why there is a audden change in their operations. Switched to CVS and they filled that same day with no problems! I will not go back to Publix! So sad and pathetic that they lost a long time customer.

They are terrible . They are rude. They leave you on hold and forget about you. They dont care. They allow your refills to expire even if you warn them . Now i have to go back to doctor and spend $200 for a visit for the medication he originally provided me that was already there. They say you still have refills, then when you need your medication they say it expired and blame it on the computer system. After they said you have them available prior. So if the computer system runs the show. Why do they pay you the money for, to be rude and uncaring. I cant wait for computers and robots to replace these rude people...

They about made me pay again for a medicine that was already paid for before I ever arrived to pick it up, it also smelled like one of the male workers did not use deodorant or had bathed I'm fairly certain.

Ordered a simple cake online to be picked up at noon. They didn't print the order and started making the cake as I waited. The assistant manager said everything comes in frozen so it will be done soon. She was completely unbothered my order wasn't even seen. Definitely won't trust them putting together a more complicated order.

This place has horrible customer service. Go to any other pharmacy. Don't waste your time and gas, when they tell you 2 different dates to pick up your meds, then change it again when you show up to pick up.
