Delicious Mega Lunch! We stopped here from Birmingham on our way to Atlanta. Super convenient to I-20 and the service is quick. The brisket melts in your mouth and the peppery "secret sauce" is awesome. Cannot beat the mac-n-cheese an collard greens. The cornbread is especially good, be sure to get a piece. Lunch portions were very generous at this classic barbecue joint. Don't pass this place up.

Stopped in at this little gem just off I-20 in Temple, GA, for lunch. Not much atmosphere here - this place is all about the food! Not the decor. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and greens with cornbread. All homemade and all delicious. Greens were seasoned well, mashed potatoes were thick with lots of color and flavor from the spices. The sides were what I would call normal portions but the meatloaf - oh my - it was a HUGE chunk of a serving. I tried my best to eat all of it but failed. I will be stopping in again to try some other menu items.

Nice. . . went to Pilot to reserve a Prime spot and a lady there suggested "Big J's" across the road. No fancy decor and a great simple menu of Brisket, Chicken Ribs etc. and various sides. The Brisket is amazing and the green beans and corn bread WOW! Wanted to try the Ribs but I'll save that for next time.

Ordered lunch catered for myself and a construction crew. We got the burgers and chicken with Mac and cheese as a side. Everyone was blown away by the food. Burgers were huge and delicious. Chicken exceptionally juicy and good. And some of the best Mac n cheese we have had. Definitely got repeat customers from everyone here. Very happy.

I completely understand being tired. I understand being ready to go. I had to greet Sandy, I asked about the mini restaurant and was bluntly told no. I chose to go clear across the street because I was told that the food was good. There was cleaning going on and it smelled good. But the attitude from the cashier took everything out of the positives that the store had.

D E L I C I O U S! Had brisket, max & cheese and green beans! Hearty servings, very clean place. Husband had ribs, greens and mashed potatoes. Very satisfied and will be back when pass through again.

Had the baked chicken, and it is delicious.. meat is juicy, tender, and order with beans.. I am on keto diet, it is perfect... Finally can get a decent meal that is not self cook...

I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner at The Rockmart Slate House and these guys catered the event. The venue was amazing and the expectations for the food were high. They catered brisket, baked chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and cornbread. The brisket was taken quickly and was juicy, full of flavor and had very little fat. The baked chicken was outstanding and many thought it was better than the brisket (if that is possible). The mac and cheese was delicious. In fact, one guy has 2 full plates of it and was going back for thirds. The mashed potatoes had a wonderful flavor (I could have eaten those as an entire meal by themselves). The green beans were perfectly seasoned and were a big hit. I didn't try the rolls, but I did have 2 pieces of cornbread. It was so light that it crumbled when picked up with tongs. As with the rest of the food, it too was amazing. I didn't save room for dessert (banana pudding), but everyone was raving about it. Afterwards, I met the owners, who were very nice and were making sure everyone enjoyed the food. The expectations for catering are high and these guys certainly delivered! I can't wait to try their food again!
