Books-A-Million in Valdosta is a large, quiet bookstore with an expansive selection for everyone. It offers everything from bestsellers, magazines, and timeless classics to manga, collectibles, toys, and gifts. Customers enjoy the wide offerings and bargain shelves, noting it is a great stop to pass time and physically browse books, sometimes with a coffee. However, some find the books are not always organized well, making specific items hard to find. A common concern is that book prices are notably high, often marked up significantly compared to other retailers. The in-store coffee shop receives poor reviews for weak, sugary, or cold drinks. The store itself is noted as being in need of repairs and attention, with a ceiling in bad shape and an overall worn interior. Some customers report useful reference books being replaced by comics and manga, and the bathroom is described as falling apart and needing cleaning. Despite these issues, many appreciate the friendly service and return for the book selection.
There was a good selection, but felt a little YA heavy and was kind of expensive. But I would definitely visit again

Super nice staff! Especially the lady that knows all the best fantasy books! She really is a gem for that store. Prices of course are a little higher, but with the membership and experience of going into the store, it’s def worth it!

Love being able to shop in a brick and mortar store, but sometimes in looking for what I want I find an empty shelf. The employees are great and always willing to help.
