I was in town to visit the beach and stopped in here to get a couple things for my trip back home. The attendant was very helpful and knowledgeable and I just wanted to leave this review reflecting my experience. Thanks again for the hospitality.

I love this place! The food came out fast and was amazing. That was the best sandwich I have ever had. The pork belly was cooked just right. Alabama white bbq sauce, cheddar, fried chicken..ahhh..just delicious. Our waitress was very friendly. I can see why Guy Fieri had to make a trip here. I will be returning whenever I am in town!

Super pumped to try this place. Went in with reservations got seated after waiting 10 minutes for a host. Understand short staffed but when other restaurants like The Deck 5* has the best staff and many people on stand by it makes you wonder. Food was like a 2 star but the kicker was the $50 bottle of champagne. It was warm! Totally fine after putting ice in it but you shouldn't have to do that. Staff seems good but over worked and the restaurant was so noisy, not a good date night spot. Highly don't recommend!

Small gas station on Tybee Island. Surrounded by local shops and restaurants.

We went for a day trip to Tybee Island and wanted to end our day on a high note by going to have a nice seafood dinner. Sundae Cafe came out with the best reviews in the area.It was a popular place even on weeknights. The place is located in a strip mall. It has nice decor with lights dimmed. We went straight for entrees. We ordered the halibut with gnocchi and spinach what was excellent (special for the night). I ordered the scallops with blacked green tomatoes... it was tasty but wish there were more scallops (only 3). Last dish was the seafood bouillabase. It had shrimp, fish and scallops with sausages. Dish was super salty. Not sure if it was their off night but we felt they may have put salt on the dish twice. Server tried to explain that it's supposed to be salty. I've had bouillabaisse before and it was never that salty. They comp 50% of the bouillabaisse. We decided to skip dessert after that. I would recommend skipping this or try the broth when it first came out to make sure it's to your taste.Main entrees are about $35 and up so they are on the higher end of the spectrum.

Located in a tiny strip mall with next to no parking, Sundae Cafe failed to impress on our recent first visit. The interior was pretty small and dark, and the booth we sat in needed refurbishing desperately. Our server came promptly and took our order (fried shrimp platter with 2 sides). The food was a generous portion. The flavor of everything, however, was across the board under seasoned. The "red sauce" (aka cocktail sauce) tasted like ketchup. The fried shrimp was fine, but again, under seasoned. If this were a more moderately priced restaurant I could forgive the underwhelming food, but this was too much to pay for mediocrity.

Didn't want to eat by the beach stumbled into sundae cafe expecting to buy a sandwich to go but was pleasantly surprised and ended up sitting down to the most delicious salad and beer before going back to my bicycle tour of the island highly recommended

Don't judge a book by its cover! Sundae Cafe is kind of tucked away in a small area with the gas station and liquor store. Food is excellent!

Made reservations via Resy, loaded credit card info, phone number, and for some strange reason the hostess couldn't find our 7:45pm booking. She looked lost trying to locate on her tablet and could only offer the I'm sorry can't find it and sorry I don't have a table at the moment. I can probably get you in another hour? So we took our business elsewhere. But it is interesting how a well known restaurant can't figure out their own reservation system shortfalls. Just a quick search in other reviews revealed we weren't the only ones. We talked to another family that said someone came in and made reservations for a party of 6 over the phone and when they showed up they were turned away because they weren't on the books. Driving close to an hour to get there also added another layer of inconvenience. I'll update my review once we are even able to have our reservations honored.

They sell the bug spray for $5.99 versus $14.99 that the surf shops sell it for. Exactly the same stuff. The beach towels are better quality than the surf shops and cheaper.
