so, i've gone here several times and Preston has always dropped everything to help me which is better than most places in Statesboro where i have to wait hours or drop off for even the most basic work. i bought a used vehicle with a terrible wheel shake and had him balance it, and unfortunately it wasn't that much better but we tried. ended up selling me a set of almost new tires for 100 each cash plus 20 per to mount/balance. unfortunately the tires lasted about 4 months before being at the wear bar, which is kind of insane. also, the wheel shake was only about 50% better but never quite went away. it only recently got much worse before I got them replaced somewhere else and now they run completely smooth. i found out one of the tires showed a scary bulge in the tread area and an ugly wear pattern which explained the shake for that one wheel and it would have blown out if i had waited any longer. now, i'm not saying the tires were knowingly bad and maybe i hit a pothole or something, but paying nearly new prices, i would have expected it last way longer than 4 months. i also thought perhaps i had some suspension issues so it was never going to be perfectly smooth. but, now having gone to somewhere else with a "real" balancer, and now that it's completely silent and smooth - i'm not sure the work was done right or the tires were any good. i get that it's a small shop and he doesn't have the expensive tools, so it's hard to say who's at fault. as i said, i appreciate the service and he's a good guy - but, just full disclosure here.

I have been going to Preston for about 3 yrs now he always does a great job for a fair price we never leaves it halfway done or just “good enough”. He never fails to have your vehicle leave in way better shape than it came in. He is a great guy who is honest and does great work. My husband James stopped in on his way home from work one evening because our truck was squealing loudly. Preston Burns was quick to diagnose the problem, and worked diligently to get repairs done. I recommend Burns Auto & Tire because of Preston's quality workmanship at reasonable rates.

Incredible service at a fair price. I loved the atmosphere and the workers" competence. If the young didn't fix my tire well, I would now be dead. He is to be commended and it was a simple job for him, but my life was on the line during a rainstorm. Go here.
